Informed delivery

I have said this for a long long time, but informed delivery was one of the worst ideas I believe the USPS has ever came up with.

Especiall when you put this in super tiny print.

MAY NOT GET IT THAT DAY. Maybe you should put that in bigger print.

You dont need to prove it.....THE WORTHLESS PO/MGMT BASS-TURDS "ARE MANIPULATING THE FLOW"....we all know it.....countless mail counts/rrecs are all the proof you need. 😐😐😐😡

I can vouch on this. Neighbor kid was in DC for the week. Mailed 1 postcard each day. I think I deliver it was 3 one day and 4 other day. Or it was 3 one day 3 next day and 1. I can't remember it was a few months ago. It was one of those but that was all the proof I needed.
 
Only people on my route using checks through the mail to pay bills are age 60 and over. Checks, stamps and nicely printed return address labels all cost money. All bank websites let you pay your bills for free. It's 2026, not 1976, use your banking apps. Now checks are stolen or lost in the mail every day somewhere let alone how long snail mail takes to get it there.

And if you think the PO cares about your mail, when was the last time you saw a tv commercial that wasn't about package delivery and was about piece mail only.
USPS- We deliver letter mail. Well sometimes, usually late, usually right....maybe.

Only mail they track anymore are political mailings which are free to ship anyway. Remember when a certified was actually accountable.
Get out of the 1900's, come join us in the 2000's.
 
This is why I wonder why the USPS even offers this Informed Delivery for letters.. wth... They obviously don't really give a rip about letter mail... I'll also add tho, their parcel delivery service and tracking is pretty lousy too... about the only thing that has any accuracy is Amazon, and that's because Amazon is dropping that on the PO doorstep on day of delivery... the USPS "dock to door" deliveries are notoriously late and seldom as projected in their email and such... So really, it's USPS that should join UPS, FedEx, etc. in the 21st century, and get out of 1976... :unsure: 🤷‍♂️👉:oops:🤣

Amazon accuracy ended this week here. We no longer get Amazon at the office, yet I still deal with the fallout. Spent an hour today telling customers we no longer deliver Amazon. To the point a new Facebook group has been created for our area. I joined for laughs, 4 days since Amazon took over. 5.5k posts asking whose door is this. FYI 26k population for reference,

I used to get all my power and gas bills for my entire route in my dps on the same day. Now I get them scattered throughout a week or two in bursts of the route.

Mondays were always 'worse' but they've become crazy lately especially parcel wise and Monday's OCR mail is consistently half or an entire tray of dps candidate mail.

I'm east coast and I've noticed that any time I order multiple items from the west coast on different days, they will seemingly hover there and all show up on the same day (typically Monday).

My working theory is that what we are seeing is downstream of the PO performing cost cutting when it comes to transportation of mail.
Then they cut costs again when it comes to local processing and we end up with heavier days on Sat/Mon and lower than average days the rest of the week.
This in turn messes with our coverage factors and here we are! I mean we touch the mail for the same families daily it's obvious when something isn't right.

Speaking of transportation of mail, I see diesel here is now 7.00 a gallon. Sheesh

Be in my area where the last 3 or 4 or 3 in 4 Mondays, we have a 2nd truck dropping off stuff. This past Monday they dropped a 1/4 of a cage full of parcel. Clerk & I looked at each other saying that was WELL WORTH IT. I hoped he dropped off more than that at the other offices.
