I know k routes are suppose to have Saturday as off day. If an office is a formula office do j routes get First priority over Saturdays before k route?

No matter what type of office, J-routes always have Saturday Relief Days unless it’s mutually agreeable between mgmt & Carrier. If at any time the Carrier no longer desires to have a weekday, they can revert back to Saturday by notifying mgmt in writing.

The Formula Calculation is to determine the maximum number of Non-Saturday Relief Days for K-routes. If you have 20 K-routes with non-Saturday Relief Days & a recalculation shows that the maximum # is 18, 2 of those Non-Saturday K-peeps must move to Saturday.

Actually, they are. The calculator calls for # of routes with a Relief Day. J-routes qualify but H-routes do not. Contractual.

As an FYI, if your J route goes up to a K, you get to keep your Saturday relief day.
