Mail Tray for RHD Jeep Wrangler

Hey all, I'm a new RCA and I'm looking to buy/build a mail tray for my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. Postalthings.com is not currently taking orders and I'm not finding anyone else that sells them online. Any ideas on where to look for one? Or, if needed, I can build one but was hoping that someone on here more experienced could give me a little advise on where to start. I'm going solo next week and I'm freaking out because I don't know what to do with my DPS and flats if I have to use the passenger seat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take the seat out. cut cardboard template to match the floor. Then use a level (self leveling laser level best) to get a level line either even with the flat part near the shifter. Put a top on to cover as much of the space as possible. Once the cardboard template is suitable, get some 3/4 in plywood and cut out a top and 2 "legs". Then put 3 pieces of railing about 3 to 4 inches tall around the top - contouring for the glove box.

At one time someone used to sell these in the back of the NRLCA mag. I had one for my 2006 jeep. Also had a "parcel" extension that overlapped the top a little bit so I could put parcels within reach (in the back).

I have a 2015 jeep wrangler rhd and I don't have a mail tray. I put my dps in a half tray right up next to the passenger door and reach over and grab handfuls to work with. Between the half tray and gear shift I have a square box about 4-5 inches deep that I use for my flats. I have a towel rolled up on top of parking brake to support the box. Also, a half tray of dps fits between the seats on the arm rest if I need to put it there. Just have to reinforce tray between the seats so it doesn't dump.
Ahead of time, test trays and boxes out to see what fits. Good luck.

I have friends who are much handier than I built 2 trays for me. I purchased full size sheet pans like are used at restaurants. The measurements I used for the tray in my 2008 Rhd Wrangler (2 door), was the size of 2 long postal trays, The next 2 Wranglers (4 door), the tray was the size of 3 long postal trays. My friend built the support/tray so it was able to be taken out & put in my last Wrangler 😎. They used the existing bolts (for the seat) to secure the supports. All the supports were purchased at Home depot, Lowes. The supports look like they are from an “erector set”, google it, if you do not know what that is. We bent the part of the tray closest to you, so the mail tray does not slide into you. You will need to be able to bend metal & cut it. Good luck !

I have a 2016 Wrangler. I pulled out the passenger seat, flipped the back seat down, and put a milk crate in the front passenger footwell. I covered an old cabinet door with non slip rug backing, covered the space from the milk crate to the folded back seat and my fancy mail tray was complete!
