Hey I was wondering if I'm primary on a route but say on a Saturday another route that has no sub on record or on the matrix can I choose that route?

Need more information. Are you scheduled to run your primary route on Saturday? If yes, who would run your primary while you ran the other route? Where are you in seniority?

Hmmm Just spitballing here but I've always been told (by management and union rep, among others) that your route is your primary concern. All others come after that. If you really don't like your primary route, you should switch primaries permanently.

Yes I would be scheduled on my primary. Well if I used most RCAs or regulars attitude I'd say I don't care who runs it, but there are other subs who know it. Close to the top there are only 3 above me but they all have their routes and it doesn't effect this situation.

No, you cannot push off your primary to another sub so you an run a non-matrix'd route. Now, IF your Regular we're working their K, then you could possibly work the other route. Why not request a change of primary instead? If no one else wants it, you should be able to change unless mgmt just doesn't want to allow it.
