National count?

Nope... not that I heard of... I'm highly doubtful they wanna count EVERY single route during the last 12 working days of September... ?

normally, auxiliary routes and routes with a 2 hour + time change are counted in sept., but without a contract, will any of these be counted?

i just wasn't sure about counting, since the contract that outlines the terms for count, is expired. we've got an aux., plus the three routes that were adjusted 4+ hours to form it, in line for count then. no notification was given, but i guess it's in the works, anyway. thanks...
gotstamps-- what is a "Special" count? I read something about a special count (from the steward's reference guide) that said you had to have a two hour time change AND a change in density of the route (L to non L, or vice versa) in order to qualify for a special count. Is this still true? Or does the fact that we have no contract right now mean that USPS can do anything it wants? I just found out that I am being counted and I have a two hour time change since last count but not a change in density.

IndyRR- Contract still applies until a new one is voted in or Arbitrated. You are correct as to the definition of a “Special” count.
The “density” rule is if there is a “Possible” density change. If your route could possibly have a density change, Mgmt can count it.
Also, if it doesn’t change by 2 hours or more then your route stays the same. Sucks if you move up an hour but not if you go down. I’m not certain if the DRs have access to the “density” info on each route but it might be worth asking if you don’t want a count.
