New RCA need advice, PS Form 50 question

I need some guidance.  If route was changed by management during probationary period and after which you discover no PS form 50 was filed are you due any compensation if you significantly had a loss of pay due to the change made.  I want to file a grievance but not until I have more knowledge and unfortunately union rep is a pro company rep despite scenario. FYI 4240 still shows me with the old assignment.

I would like to keep the job and I also have concerned about retribution for filing what's due, if it is, so would love to hear feedback on that. Quick reply would be very much appreciated - I feel alone in this mess.

Form 50's take awhile to get done, and if your route was adjusted down, you will receive less pay. You shouldn't worry about retaliation from your pm because you have no grievance,  if this the correct scenario.

I'm confused. If your an RCA, you did not lose any pay. Your hourly wage is still the same. As an RCA, you can run multiple routes which have different evaluations. Your PS50 will not show any change to route assignment. It will show changes to your hourly rate or non-career vs career status. I guess I'm not understanding why you would be filing a grievance.

What do you mean by the PM changed the route?

Did they adjust the assigned route from a 43K to say a 45K? If so, then your pay should adjust upwards.

Did the PM change your assigned route without your consent? For example, did they involuntarily move you from one route to another? If that's the case then you have recourse. Especially if your primary route went vacant and they bumped you off it for somebody else to run it.

wondering2u -- "I would like to keep the job and I also have concerned about retribution for filing what’s due,"

--  Need additional information regarding your OP.

--  If in doubt about filing a grievance, contact your office steward or Assistant District Representative.

--  However, you should not fear "retribution" when filing a grievance.

--  The USPS issued its new policy statement on Workplace Harassment, dated 16 MARCH 2017 -- it should be posted on an office bulletin board.  If not, ask manglement to post it.   If they don't seem to have it, request manglement get a copy or check their emails.  File a grievance if the statement is not posted in a "reasonable" amount of time.

--  The last sentence of the policy statement:  The Postal Service does not tolerate any type of harassment, inappropriate conduct, or REPRISAL in the workplace.

--  Sure that is the rose colored glasses look at it, but at least it is spelled out in black and white if you file a grievance and manglement suddenly take a big interest in you and everything you do.

Thanks for all the feedback.

The reason I say I lost pay is because the route I was assigned to substitute is currently using the RCA every day since person is on disability leave for last 4 months, where as the route I am doing now as RCA is much less - most of week I am not working.  (It also made that I arrived at 90 working days a lot later than I would have had I not been moved. ) Yes I was moved involuntarily, they approached me during probationary period and advised me route was changing.

I understand it takes a while for form 50 but 3 months?

I'm pretty sure they can't reassign your primary as a different route without your consent, I'd call your union rep

It was probably incorrect to bump you from your primary route.

There are limited reasons why they could like needing a K route for a PTF creation or a POV too small and causing excessive second trips.

The time limit for grieving was 14 days so it's probably too late to file.
