we need to start contacting our critters en masse.

these people need frogmarched off the floor and right into prison.
 
At this point, I will be happy if we just make some waves, even small ripples will be a great improvement.

I would also like to see the Unions speak up. Not just Nick Acker's union but ours also. A person was killed doing their job. This is a big deal. Could this have been prevented? I think this is part of the working conditions that the unions are supposed to be protecting.

I don't think sitting back until the Postal Service gets a chance to complete their version of what took place is protecting craft interests. I don't think the unions need to produce a final answer at this point. I do think the unions should comment to finding out what is going on and investigate on their time. Maybe they need to hire a skilled news investigator to find out.
 
The problem is a grievance was filed. So the worker knew it was dangerous and did it anyway. Yes the PS should be sued and pay out a boat load of mulla to his family. This isn't the early 1900's or a 3rd world country where you have to work in deadly conditions or not work at all. There is a reason "lock outs" are used when working on electrical and moving equipment.

The worker did something he knew was potentially deadly and did it anyway, and HIS BOSSES ALLOWED IT TO OCCUR!!!!

but we do not know what pressure he may have been under. some people can resist our insect overlords and others just break/give up under the stress which these evil ones put on the workforce.

that's like saying she was asking for it because her skirt was too short.
 
I don't know what the grievance said, there is no point in my trying to guess what should have been done about it.

I don't know if a safety form was filed before or after the event, you know 24 hours to get a written reply.

I don't know if the machines are being used at this time with or without the issue being dealt with.

I do believe anyone should be able to pursue a grievance. I don't believe they should have to be tough or Knowledgeable to do so. This system is supposed to protect every one. I know this is not realistic, but I do think it is the objective to be pursued. The system we should be trying to build.

The Unions and Craft members remain silent. This bothers me. Some will tell us if they do speak up nothing will happen. I think this statement is true and false at the same time. It is true in the sense that the problems will not be fixed in one round. It is false in the sense that someone spoke up. How many people must speak up to create a small ripple? I think we have less than 5 at this time. Is an objective for 5 people to do anything a first step?

That's why I stated management ALLOWED it to happen. I saw a photo on FB with customer saying any parcel left at gate instead of front door would be "not delivered" . Many responses said ok I'm not opening the gate and leaving a 3849. We all know how management would handle that and tell carrier to open the gate and go to the door. How many would stand up after being told to open gate? All they can do is pressure you. I would grieve any discipline using safety. If customer wanted the thing at the door, then LEAVE the gate open so we know there isn't a horse, cow, or something else that could get out.

My condolences
The union doesn't fix these hazards, the POST OFFICE is responsible for it
Or, am I missing something
 
I could give you an almost 22 year report of failure after failure, after FAILURE by our so-called union....the majority of them are WORTHLESS, DID I SAY WORTHLESS, BECAUSE I MEANT TO SAY WORTHLESS, not to mention they are crooks, as well as liars, aaannndddd DEFINITELY thieves. Lest I forget, the majority of them have the morals of an alley cat too....my old union rep was banging my old pm for about a year, or so, it's why his wife divorced him....
Hhhhhhmmmmmmm....let's see what else.....dare i say....murders indirectly/and directly in many other cases as well.....especially considering our coworker here who just got killed in the machine. So yeah....I'd say that's a start. Not meaning to rain on your parade Surprise, but hopefully you were being sarcastic.
I get triggered occassionally, and it gets my comments deleted sometimes with further threats of banning...oh well....just shooting from the hip, and sometimes people dont like getting hit with the truth.

your comments get deleted because you go over the line and you flaunt the rules by posting inflammatory insults as well as political content in inappropriate forums. if you persist, you will be banned.

don't feel special - everyone who does so gets equal treatment.

stop acting like a victim and start taking responsibility for your actions.

(if you are going to make veiled public statements instead of maturely taking it up with the mods/site owner in private, you should expect a direct and public reply.)
 
Am I being told that the NRLCA has a poor reputation with us and the Postal Service is respected and trusted?

My public response.....and best wishes to everyone....been nice knowing most of you. Thanks for all the encouragement, the kind words, and just being a place where I can go, and visit with mostly like minded people. Learned lots, and enjoyed so many of your comments. I LOVE AMERICA, AND GOD, I'm not perfect, just still learning, and figuring things out...so maybe I'll talk to you'all another day, and time....or see you in Heaven..
