i am a PTF in ohio. i started off with 4 routes at the start, but management started hiring more subs. 2 of my string routes were taken from me. there are still open routes in my office without primary sub. my question is, does management have to replace the routes i lost on my string since when i bidded on the position it had 4 routes, or am i just stuck with jut 2 now?

-- Be happy with two you still have and the ability to fill in where needed. You might even lose your PTF position altogether should manglement hire another sub, as PTF needs a minimum of two K routes.

There is no mandate for a route on a PTF string to have an expired 120-Letter or have even requested a sub.
Mgmt can add & subtract routes from a PTF String at will as long as there are 2 routes on that String. What is bid on in a PTF bidding is the position not the routes.
The PTF String must have K-routes and those routes must have different Relief Days. I do not believe that mgmt can remove the PTF position all-together while you still hold it as that would remove you from boing a “Career” employee.
I would contact your Union Rep & Request they look into why those routes were pulled & not replaced if there are available routes for “String”.
