Pov route

Ww are instructed on scanner when logging in that use walking route since scanners have a set up for pov. I have just taking for granted thst this information was correct through the years due to the all knowing AD, DR from union are the ones who said to do the set up this way. Any know if this is the correct way to be in the rrecs route set up?

Walking route is how we do it in our all pov office. My guess is if you select driving instead of walking you may have to scan a vehicle id code.

I was “absent” for that stand up, I still use driving. It prompts scanner to do faster pings more accurate mapping in my experience. It dies ask fir vehicle number I still use the same number as I always have, it’s not attached to any vehicle number gov wise.

i cant believe this is still coming up. Back when i was an rca and I saw this question i asked both postmasters i worked for, they both looked at me like I had my head on backwards. "You are driving a vehicle right? Driving, always. Enter all 9s for the number." Supposedly it pings differently for the driving mode, so if you aren't in it, you may be hurting your evaluation.
