Proof of cheating...

My DPS is way down. 3-3.5 trays instead of 5-6. Except for upside down mail, it's squeaky clean. We used to have the older style DPS machines in our office and the clerks told us they were given instructions to run as many passes as it took to get it cleaned up.

My DPS count is a little lower. The tray count is definitely lower.

I'm averaging 540 pieces per tray. The trays are packed solid as a cement block.

Not on count this time around. So far looks like a wise choice. I have a stretch of curbside delivery involving 10 apts under one address. Drive to the next stretch of 10, for a total of 60. Under pervious counts this entire chunk of my route was pulled by me because it was not in order. It was like sector segment. Never asked to have it pulled because raw credit was always awarded. Comment overheard from a carrier who has been trying to have a dismount recently awarded to route,Trailer Court pulled from DPS because it's never in order. Has been in order since last Friday. My apts are still sector segment.

Always been an L route.Took a quick glance at old one month long September count sheet I have at office from 10+ yrs ago to look at DPS #'s before LLV cheat time because one route after count will be L status. The numbers for DPS at that time averaged 15,000-16,000 pieces of DPS per week. Can't recall any other totals at this time.

DPS average for me since count has been 1546 per day. Today was 2126 in DPS. Had 12 qualifying parcels today. 87 scans no accountables. Standing tall at 45J/L so far.

-- How does that compare to pre-count trays?

-- My old office used a "standard" of 421 mail pieces per tray.

-- The "riffling" formula that has surfaced this year is way less than 540 mail pieces!

-- I'll try to search for that formula.

-- Might want to suggest to that carrier to request a Formal DPS Review for Quality a few weeks after count, maybe after the results become effective as of 28 April.
