I've been an RCA for over a year now. When I first started, our office had daily "pick ups" that a different RCA was scheduled on everyday. Started around noon and finished when the truck left. This was great, it kept us busy when we weren't scheduled on a route and gave everyone decent hours each week.
A few months ago, they reworked most of our offices routes and some of them got those pick ups tacked on. Well, we're still scheduled but its down to about an hour or so everyday.
A few of our RCA's (some who have about an hour commute) are pretty upset and are being told that they'd be forced to resign if they didnt want to do it.
If there was a minimum of at least a few hours then it would be less of a problem, but to go into work for around an hour (often less) in the middle of the day is pretty ridiculous. Last Friday I drove 45 minutes at 3:30 PM just to get a half hour of green card time. I'd rather not work, it's just not worth it.
I could be completely wrong, but during my training I remember being told something about a minimum of 4 hours?
Any insight would be great! Thanks
