Route inspection etiquette...

Management was granted the right to require a carrier to purchase a larger vehicle in an MOU AGREED to by the the NRLCA and USPS. Last I heard, NRLCA has since revoked their agreement to said MOU, so management no longer has that right. If they try to require a larger vehicle, you should file a grievance.

Our PM now thinks it is perfectly ok to delay mail and falsify scans to avoid paying for second trips.

We have a different kind of etiquette in our office for the route inspection drives. 

If any carrier drives in such a way, that the manager throws up, that carrier will be entitled to $5.

If that manager has taken "dramamean" and still throws up, the carrier is entitled to $10.

New this year...

If the manager gets so sick, due to dust allergies, or whatever , and has to go to the hospital, that carrier gets dinner  at a nearby restaurant.

I'm in the South and am quite sure that my PM would lose her ever-lovin' rabbit mind if El Rushbo was on the radio, so...

the plan is:

1.  Genesis
2.  El Rushbo
3.  Sean Hannity
4.  An offer of ExLax brownies somewhere along the ride
5.  Hit every pothole/washboard

Oi veh -- Combining # 4 and #5 could be detrimental to your vehicle's interior - IMHO.

--  In that case a "Sorry, but you are going to have to walk back to the office or call Uber." might be in order.

--  And Uber gets awfully fussing about the condition of their passengers - before and during the ride.

--  Must be Arbitrator Wells road ( ooops - make that "rode" ) with one of your carriers as it was rumored Wells only lasted 30 minutes on a rural route.

Officially, playing radios, as with smoking in the route vehicles, is not allowed due to not being able to be "tuned into" our jobs and emergencies on the route. I wouldn't push it unless you would want to risk being written up for it because of insubordination.

Is it un reasonable to have the inspector inspect box conditions and write up 4056 (or make a list). My reasoning is that mail count is based on the new box design placed on a firm post@43-45" anything deviating from that will cost more time to reach down struggle with doors and curl mail to fit the outdated small letter box.
