Sub on H routes

My office is an all rural 3 h route office. New sub is on rt.3 and I'm on 1. Do I have first crack at her route when regular takes a day off or is she mandated to cover first? Thanks for any info

subadubdub -- "Do I have first crack at her route when regular takes a day off"

--  I'd like to know what "first crack at her" means?

" is she mandated to cover first?"

--  yes, the sub has been assigned to Route 3.

--  Since H-routes are entitled to have sub ( page 46 of the current contract ), have you and the other carrier submitted the 120-Day Notice to get a sub?

Guessing you're a sub... the primary route a sub is assigned to is theirs & they cannot be bumped from working except by the Regular. You have 1 & she gets 3. If nobody is assigned to 2, you would have 1st dibs on it due to seniority when not running your primary. There is no bumping off primary's. If her Regular gets injured, she would run that route for 6-days as you wait for your Reg or Reg #2 to need a day off.
