The PM's in our offices announced that our plant is four days behind processing parcels. Expect one or two huge days when they clear out some of the backlog. Ugh.

I mailed two Priority Flat Rate envelopes and the projected arrival dates are 8 and 9 days from shipping date. PM said I should have just sent regular mail, as parcel handling is so far behind. Apparently not affecting letters. Who knows, I just work here....

I never use and pay extra for PRIORITY-always use just regular mail...simply because I know it most likely will not get there.

I always love the commercials too. Its always a lady with 1-2 trays of mail a city carrier (smiling) and 5-7 parcels.

Can you imagine if it was a realistic carrier with three trays upfront covered with parcels, can't see out the side, parcels at the feet (rows one and two.) Then 5-6 more trays in the back caked with amazon so full you can't open the back.

Then the best part is when you're starting your route at 1 or later you always get the old lady that says, "looks like you're running a little behind today."

I got that at around 8pm on monday. I mentally patted myself on the back after for not losing my on that dude. Majority of the routes were over 11 hours that day.

Regular it is OT pay. Anything over 12 hours is 1.5 times pay. I assume that applies during Christmas.

WTF, do these idiots expect, Xmas is in a few weeks. PM is not happy because his/her boss is going to be pi&$ed ! Most Reg carriers do not want to be out 12 plus hours.

Also what do they expect when plant decided on weekends to do work there and everything gets dumped on Monday??? I mean come on, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to get that if you even average amount of mail with 3-4 times your evaluated packages for the day, you will be out long but they don't want to give help either. I just laughed. You can't have both ways. Carriers out late then complained but complain about giving carriers help.
