Unfortunately my wife got this before I could ditch it. A mailer from United Health about incentives paid for taking an online assessment ($50); a physical ($100); or Biometric screening ($100). Saying it will be paid into the Health Incentive Account (HIA).

As a part time, non-interested sub I don't know beans about this account. Is it the same as an HSA? Is it only with the United Health plans? I know I never set up such a thing, and don't really have any zeal to deal with it.

Anyone know how to find out how to set up/enroll, whatever? I fear it will involve LiteBlue.

Solution
No, it's actually from the insurer. I do it every year with mine. (I have the Rural Carrier plan.)

It's put into your "account" with them, then is used against deductible. It's nice, because it saves you some money.
Never heard of that specific term.

I'm career and have GEHA HDHP. It's provided by UHC. If I and my spouse do their questionnaires and go get annual blood work completed through their web portals we get gift cards to use in the company store for healthcare related items. Last year we completed all the assignments and ordered various band aids, sunscreen and first aid kit for floating/hiking and for the car.

It will be through uhc and not through liteblue.

From the website I use for my assessments:

Your Health Rewards prepaid MasterCard can be used for qualified out-of-pocket medical expenses and health-related items at WellDeserved, an online FSA store. The card cannot be used at any retailers such as CVS, Target or Wal-Mart. It can be used at free-standing vision centers such as Discover Vision Centers or LensCrafters. Your prepaid MasterCard can be used to purchase mail-order medications with CVS. For help getting started, download our HealthBalance Quick Start guide.

I've been trying to look into it, but the United Health "MYUHC" site you have to go to has been down all afternoon. Probably too many people with the same questions.
