Three Day SL Documentation

Interesting scenario.

Carrier in another office was sick Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

However, Saturday was supposed to be his Relief Day and he was scheduled to work.

It's my understanding that the system will not accept SL on a Relief Day but the absence will be recorded somehow.

Can they require a Doctor's Note if technically one of the three days isn't Sick Leave according to systems?
 
I think this comes down to was the employee recorded as AWOL or LWOP? AWOL would be a grievance since the employee took sick leave and the relief fell on an adjacent day. LWOP to cover the scheduled K day probably wouldn't hurt anything.

In my opinion, it would only count as two days. They're paid out for only two of the three if push comes to shove.
