SAFETY IS PRIOIRITY UNTIL IT COST MONEY!!!!

For developers:

• CBUs do not require awnings or lighting (though both may be beneficial).
• CBUs do not require dedicated parking for carriers.
• Larger developments may have multiple CBU locations to balance resident convenience and carrier efficiency.

No lighting???? That's !@$@#ING IGNORANT. So what about night time delivery? I guess that don't matter. I guess darkness is fine and can allow people to sneak up on the carrier.

This is ridiculous. Why haven't any union come out and say this is wrong.

I totally agree, but with that said. The Post Office no longer really says that delivering in the dark is a safety issue. It used to be where the carrier did not have to deliver in the dark, they would just call (using a pay phone) and say they attempted, but it is too dark, and then they would be instructed to bring the mail back. But now they have head lamps, and I guess they deem that ok. Stupid I know, city carriers deliver the mail in the dark as well.

But a little head lamp ain't going to deter a criminal from stealing arrow key or anything. A well-lit area gives carrier better chance especially in the dark. I thought we were about protecting carriers. I don't expect a roof, but 100% would expect the area to have some sort of lighting to help.
