What to do now. Day off

Can anyone give me an answer to this situation? Carrier been out 9 months with surgery, the assigned sub runs the route since day one, she now gets a K day, Regular carriers want that day as their X day but are told that they can't have it because they need the subs to run the K day that PM assigned for the RCA's K day! Also, does the assigned sub run the route till Regular comes back or should the Senior sub be placed in that position?

You can't bump someone's primary assignment by seniority. Did any of those regulars request on 3971 for a day off? If yes, file a grievance for denied leave. If no, file a 3971 and start the process.

So, the sub's K day overrides the Regulars X day? Yet, PM mandated 2 regular carriers to cover another's vacation request? thanks Gotrope
