Although this could be beneficial in some situation. I'm not saying it is legal but just showing how it could benefit the carrier and don't want to see it done.
I.E. Let's say RCA has 54 hours evaluated for the week. They work 42 hours 59 minutes.
40X19.06=762.04
3X28.59=85.77
Grand total of $847.41
Let's say he takes lunch out of it.
You would be under 40 then for the week so get all the evaluated hours.
54X19.06
Grand total of $1029.24
But it could benefit carrier in certain situation. Not saying it is legal or should be done. It could also lose money majorly if they go BIG TIME into OT.
A real "tip of the iceberg" story, but failing to generate any real support. The public comments are all based on 30 year old perceptions of overpaid carriers operating in urban areas. Chock full of missing mail, sloppy, indolent, lazy carriers.
Sounds like they are talking about Chicago, 1980s, etc. No concept of what a modern RCA in rural America does, and how he/she is yanked around by Amazon.

We weren't paid to go to the door because we didn't go to the door. M -37 said to honk to attract customer and leave notice if it wouldn't fit in box. That is why we hung them on mailboxes because most customers wanted them left. In 1991, they agreed to go to the door ( didn't have many parcels that wouldn't fit in boxes anyway) for 10 seconds more. Also they implemented the Striving for Excelence Together program... or SET. Based upon customer satisfaction in the MSC carriers would receive a bonus at the end of the year. This was to offset the additional driving and other functions for delivering to the door............................................ 2 or 3 years later the PS did away with SET.

when you cheat and get caught they make you a PM saw it happen 4 times in the 15 years and was watching it happen to the rca's over and over the last 5 years log your time in a pocket note book bring in with you take home every day.

The supervisors started screwing the craft after they got screwd.
Their OT got changed to straight time around 2008. No more time and a half.

And they still cheat carriers now. I’ve got family in other offices where they were forced on other routes and still haven’t been compensated. Months after helping. I told them to hire a lawyer.
