What % of your Parcels fit in the Mailbox?

I was going to make this a poll but there are quite a few variables I am curious about.

On my route, we got amazon drops starting immediately after the last mail count in 2018. I don't have exact numbers but at that time I believe about 75-80% of my parcels would routinely fit in customers' boxes. After amazon, not only has our parcel count doubled or tripled but its routinely only about 50% that fit in the box. Today, it will be closer to 40% that go in the box.

So, how is your route(s)? Amazon?

Amazon has been light because they deliver most of their own stuff in our area. It has been that way since last Spring.

Average day now I will get between 80-140, with probably 60%-75% fitting in mailboxes.

Very heavy on Amazon. Probably 40-50% of items fit in boxes on an average day. Leaves somewhere around 80-90 individual dismounts for parcels on an average day to day basis.

We lost AMZN a couple years ago as they deliver in our area, but I've def seen an increase over the last few months, esp with very large packages. My route is 50% CBU's and I have more lockers than I know what to do with, so I'll count those as packages fitting IN the box. With all that being said, I would say I only have 10% that don't fit in boxes. And even with the ones I have to get out for, 50% of those have gates, so I literally walk a few feet from the road to leave the package.

In mailbox or in parcel locker? Like 50% fit in the mailbox another 40% in lockers and 10% to the door or so. All NBU route very little amazon now that they run their own stuff maybe 10 parcels a day mostly very large ones though. Averaging 175 scans now per day.

Just a heads up but you should be scanning anything going to parcel lockers as in parcel lockers. The new RRECS system classifies parcels in 3 sizes based on how its scanned. In/at mailbox it assumes is a tiny parcel worth almost no time. In parcel locker scan is a medium parcel with much more time and at door/front porch is assumes is a large parcel which is worth I think 6 times as much time as current parcel times we get.

I've been pretty good at scanning items where they go. I don't have a single parcel locker on my route. Lots of long, crappy driveways though.

60-70 package dismounts/ day. We have Amazon. A lot more during the period after Columbus day thru Christmas. Evaluated for 50 psarcels/day
We were eval'd at 65. (100 mi rte) in 2018, with probably 70% in box. When Amazon hit weeks later we jumped to 140/day, with maybe 50% in box. So, we were getting out for more boxes than our total parcel eval.
Now its dropped to about 90/day, but still get out for 50%.

Mail theft is rampant in my neck of the woods. Therefore 80% to the door because of crappy slotted boxes. Can’t even fit small bags of meds in some of them. Getting out of control. About 1/2 of my Amazons are being delivered by Amazon now. We get the big crap for sure.

Depends on route here big time but over all 9 routes and aux 50%. would Be higher but when you get 3-4 Spurs for one house they have to go to door so you don’t fill the Box.
