The scheduler has been in the system for maybe a year but offices are free to use their own methods if they prefer. That has been a thing in my area for awhile but they aren't using it.

can it be used in conjunction with other offices within a set distance IE 50 miles. Really has me curious honestly. The scheduler has been in the system for maybe a year but offices are free to use their own methods if they prefer.
My PM shares everything he finds new within the system, that's how I discovered it. Might ask your union from an information standpoint if you have a decent relationship with them.can it be used in conjunction with other offices within a set distance IE 50 miles. Really has me curious honestly.
I already loan myself out 3 days a week. After the last time I did our aux and got sent 46 miles one way to work up to 12 hrs. Home office can deal with any emergencies by themselves. No regs will put in 120 letter, management hasn’t even posted rca position in 3 months. Still sitting at 2 rcas for 10 routes peak season is coming. If I wasn’t senior rca I would transfer in a heart beat at this point.Well RCAs better buckle up. No more picking and choosing what routes you want to go. Better start studying offices within 50 miles.

This is most likely true. I wasn't even aware of the problem until I began reading the posts in this forum. So I asked the local union steward about it and she said it is happening our state, too.....just not our area.I believe our voices would be heard if every carrier would only work required evaluation and standards from 2018 count, or whenever last counted. No more second trips, no more staying out past evaluation and no more after dark delivery. This would mean 3849 for a mass amount of pkges. Public may not want to hear our woes, but when it starts hitting them… they will listen
With the ability (without success) of being able to create and hire for PTF positions the 120 day letter has no teeth anymore, not that it had many before.I already loan myself out 3 days a week. edit: went above PM straight to poom to get the 3 days a week approved At other offices. local management played games, and I upped the ante they are not happy.
fully understand that, but it would Show me the regs have a little bit of spine. Instead they listen to PM say they have tried and tried to get more rcas. One posting in the last 3 months for rca. 7 in the last 3 months for ARC, and no word on PTF positions. With the ability (without success) of being able to create and hire for PTF positions the 120 day letter has no teeth anymore, not that it had many before.
Does everyone in your office do what you suggest?I believe our voices would be heard if every carrier would only work required evaluation and standards from 2018 count, or whenever last counted. I talked to city carriers in our office and they have less CCAs than we have subs, so it isnt just rural, either.fully understand that, but it would Show me the regs have a little bit of spine. While your office may be shorthanded on CCAs , keep in mind that there is only a certain percentage permitted by the contract between The NALC and the PO. So, depending upon the assignments of your regular and T6 and /or unassigned regular city carriers and how many there actually are, there is a cap on the number of CCAs by percentage.I talked to city carriers in our office and they have less CCAs than we have subs, so it isnt just rural, either.
Not the case here 2 CCAs posting every time they go down another goes up for my office. We did have 8 CCAs but 2 quit short bit go. Not enough hours for them to stick it out. So I know management can get positions posted they just won’t post rca.I talked to city carriers in our office and they have less CCAs than we have subs, so it isnt just rural, either.
Then that RCA should file a grievance. It’s a CONTRACT violation for mgmt to require a sub to go to another Office after completing their route. It is NOT a violation to be required to assist another route in the “Office” so if multiple DUs are in an “Office”, they can be sent there.I will be surprised if they even abide by what this grievance settlement says.
Specifically - If an RCA works a cases and delivers a regular route they CANNOT be forced to do another office.
So if a runner RCA completes an H Route in 5 hours they are done for the day?
Wanna Bet that RCA can wipe their behind with this promise if the neighboring office is being run by a Postmaster or POOM?
Assigned for the day, not actually assigned as “sub-of-record“ to multiple offices. The Contract does not allow that.I wonder what it's like to be "assigned" to multiple offices, yet have no seniority in any of them or any bidding rights?
