Funny Stuff from facebook Regarding the RRECS Q&A.

Who's had any training on any of this nonsense.... truth be told, I'd be willing to bet NUMEREEOUS legit UNSCANPARCELS have been missed by carriers over the past year.... to include by me.... oh, and how many sets of boxholders, WSS, etc., etc.... have been forgotten.... all errors are in their favor, and they know it..... somebody should be threatening them with their wage theft, rather than the other way around.... jmho.... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:
That IS INDEED a VERY VALID point. ALL we ever hear is the sacred 6. NOT ONCE have I heard over the intercom " Did everyone enter their ADVO into the scanner ? " Or, " Did everyone enter those car ads as walk sequence flats ?"

Not saying you're wrong but, this close to the exit, don't give the &@$+@%#$ a shot at you.

It saddens me to hear carriers acting like we're screwing them, as what is really happening is, we're getting screwed.... js.... let's not ignore the obvious..... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:

Seems like the amount of button pushing to claim any sort of RRECS credit takes more time than the credit you are trying to claim.... pick up scammer and punch buttons for 10 seconds to get 5 second credit.... then they wonder why nobody is doing them..... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop:🧐
Yeah, and while you are doing THAT, you accidentally hit CLOCKIN again or DEPART2ROUTE again or something. Then, it will log you off and you have to log back on but that is all AFTER the scanner itself crashed and you had to reboot it. So, after 20 minutes of screwing around and FINALLY getting back into rhythm , you say to yourself, " That WAS NOT worth the .000000592378559 I was trying to obtain. " Then, the VERY next day, you get called into the office because you / they have to explain just as to why you were sitting still for 20 minutes. After you get THAT squared away and the TOTAL time between sitting there for 20 minutes PLUS the 30 minutes in the office for a total of 50 minutes , you swear to yourself you will NEVER EVER hit UNSCANPARCEL / IN AT MAILBOX again.

Yeah, this RRECS nonsense is a real winner.... glad I'm one foot out the door, as I don't think I'm cut out for this level of ridiculousness... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:

I brought up the issue of missed boxholder scans the other day.

We had received 2 boxholder, one Tuesday and one Wednesday, for like 20+ years.

One day I accidentally scanned boxholder twice as I wasn't sure if I scanned it earlier. Within 30 minutes the office got a call from the APO questioning it. I explained what happened and they warned me to never do it again.

Fast forward about a month, I FORGOT to scan boxholder on one of the Tuesday or Wednesdays. I only noticed when the RMPO head was showing me the reports.

I remarked that it's pretty crappy that if I do something EXTRA that would positively affect my pay, they jump all over my butt. However, if I definitely MISS something that would hurt my pay......all I hear is crickets.

What a joke.

Those crooked bastids... :unsure: 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:

How about parcels we received that were forwarded from another route/office? We get NO CREDIT to deliver those parcels. The bar code shows the latest delivery time and place, but the route that the bar code is originally associated with get the delivery credit, just like parcels delivered by rcas helping on different routes give route credit to the route they are helping.
you don't change the zip?

in my office, when a fwd'd parcel comes in, i have trained the clerk to change zip during AAU. (which they are supposed to do)

it then shows up on my lookahead.

when i deliver, i change the zip to our zip.

viola, it shows in my scans.

so, hopefully...

Good God....the next thing they will have us do is take a photo of the unscannable.
Give us. .000000111116459999 credit to take the photo

Maybe make us get prior approval for unscannables

Maybe get rid of unscannable all together.

Don't mess with the unscannables.
i always involve the clerk.

that way i have a witness who agrees yes, it is a parcel.

In town forwards, no zip change needed. I did find out today that although the forwarded parcels you do get credited to the carrier that scans them last, I’m not sure if we get door credit or not when we take it to the door, because that barcode is still associated with the first address. It does however, ping wherever you scan the parcel.

i could tell you what i do in conjunction, but i'll bet you can guess. ;)

My guess is, there's likely WAY more UNSCANPARCELS on any given day that I could be doing, compared to what I am actually doing.... I say good luck to anybody trying to prove otherwise....🤷‍♂️
I started a rumor that there was going to be a Major Award given to the carrier with the most Unscanned Parcel entries upon completion of RRECs data every year; and that I was going to win it.

That may get some of my cohorts on the wagon.
