Ours started out just fine, and now just after one week you can see DPS cleaner than it has ever been? Yah right !

The disputes that I can list for my office so far that I can see are 4.

1) Walking distances were not multiplied by number of trips for activities that require more than one.
2) UBBM pulled from DPS not credited as Raw Letters.
3) Credit for Safety/Service Talks not credited on the Activity Worksheet as Miscellaneous time.
4) Radar Report not made available daily.

The NRLCA has been made aware if these, yet the violations continues. This is only for the 6% of this Mini-Count, how badly have we been abused with the other 94% that we have no access to the Data?

someone said in another group that their manger told them that those multiple walking distance where only giving to offices that didn’t receive the withdrawal credit.

A few in, walking distance not being correct, manual numbers flat wise, misc time that has been approved not being entered daily. Almost 1 full week in and 3 hours total unaccounted for….

And, if I am reading and understanding the Step 4s , pre-arb. settlements , etc. , the footage BEYOND 50 feet round trip is to be calculated at .00429 per foot and credited in column "r" ( way old other suitable allowance time which I do remember ) which turned into column 17 as other suitable allowance which turned into the current other suitable allowance column. So, there should be time for various trips to hampers, DPS area, red room , etc.

The 50’ rule went away. Hot Case gets multiple Trips (2).
Distribution- 1 trip
Hot Case - 2 trips
Red Card/Final pull- done during Loading
PM Withdrawal- done during EOS Duties

Hamper trips are automatically calculated on a Daily basis so those do not get multiples. DPS should be retrieved using a cart or hamper instead of multiple trips.

Does this apply even if you get the withdrawal credit?
For any trips over 1 i.mean, I guess it would only be two trips to hot case??
Thanks

Yep , sounds like our office , our PM gives excuses on why we don't have our data . He's toooo busy .... I'm not getting letter credit for MMM, our footages are wrong

The ONLY difference in footage credit for Withdrawal vs Non-withdrawal is ALL mail is to be brought to the Carrier’s case so no footage for DPS and non for Distribution cases. All other footage is warranted & given.

Hope I am understanding correctly. Trips to get parcels don't get multiples? We frequently have to do 3-4 trips for bigs and 2-3 for small parcels. How is this credited?

Parcels are automatically figured at 62 per cart/wire. If you have over 62, credit for two trips. Over 124, credit for three trips. If you have oversized parcel that requires a special trip due to size, ask your PM to credit you with one extra trip.

There ARE some exceptions, according to our union DR who did the instruction for the PM's in our Area. These are few.

In one of our offices the clerk requires an extra pull of hot case because it fills, so 3 trips are credited. This is usual and customary in this office, so it's allowed. The distance to the hot case round trip is perhaps 40 feet, so in calculations this is so minor it won't change anything, but it does reflect real world so it's allowed.

We have another office that has parcels thrown into two different locations per rural route. The distance is calculated to include a round trip that includes both locations.

That would assume you don't work at an office that calls you. At least 6 times a day to make a pull so they can get misthrows 🙄

The number of parcels is the determining factor in how many trips you get. HOWEVER the Union DR told me without exception IF management REQUIRES additional trips to anywhere (parcels, hot case, etc) those must be figured into your distances.

Most of our offices require us to check parcels for misthrows as soon as parcels are called up. We break from our case and do so. This is an EXTRA trip we're credited with because management requires us on a regular basis to do so.

Perfect..I'll add to that:
5). Carriers assigned to my route never participated in the survey; management just " guessing"...
(I've been out fir 2 mos with 3 herniated discs; I stopped in on Monday to observe..)what a joke

According to this , it should be actual time. I do EXPECT to be told " No, that's not valid anymore either " because it benefits the carrier in some way , shape, or form.

How's mail count going??

So far, there hasn't been one day where my DPS hasn't been at minimum 10% or worse counting invert and missent. I had one day it was nearly 20% either inverted or mail for other towns.

You know, with THAT kind of error rate , although inverted are of no consequence during a QUALITY review ( NOT to be confused with a QUANTITY review ) , you could get your route OFF of DPS standards altogether. I imagine you know how QUALITY works. They have 30 days to make the 98% threshold. The DPS must make 98% for three consecutive days. If they fail ONE day, the three day consecutive clock STARTS OVER but the 30 day clock DOES NOT. The 30 day clock keeps ticking. If , after 30 days, there has not been a three day consecutive at 98% or better, the route would be reclassified. You don't have to do TWO reviews like with the QUANTITY reviews. You win one and it is over. Now, here's the kicker. Only the mis-sequenced and mis-sorted count as errors and NOT the mis-sent. Go fiigure, the mail piece in your DPS for another route in your office IS an error but the mail piece you get in your DPS for ANOTHER STATE is not. Also, I am pretty sure that the route would have to be re-qualified BEFORE it goes back to DPS standards which means they gotta do it all over again. I'd have to research the re-qualify part but I am pretty sure. Something to think about......

Thank you for breaking that down! I think I finally understand the process!!
