My understanding is they go by our scans and where the packages were delivered. I don’t know where that’s at that’s just what I’ve been told.Hi there how do they calculate how many packages we have a day for our pay do they go by our package look ahead what if we get parcel help or what if our route is split
It is in the product tracking report. Haven't seen one yet but it is supposed to show all of your scans and where they were delivered. My understanding is they go by our scans and where the packages were delivered. I don’t know where that’s at that’s just what I’ve been told.
The product tracking report I’ve seen only shows inbound packages for the day from usps, dhl, and Amazon. Per route and office total. It is in the product tracking report. Haven't seen one yet but it is supposed to show all of your scans and where they were delivered.
Two different reports. Not sure on the morning reports name. The product tracking report I’ve seen only shows inbound packages for the day from usps, dhl, and Amazon. Per route and office total.
This is the USPS LinkRight. I looked back at the picture i took of part of it. It’s actually the Start of Day report, under the Product Tracking & Reporting system

I received one after my original post. It showed only scans that I made. I wasn't done with my route when he ran it. But it was very detailed and showed what time and where the item was scanned and which zip code I was in.The product tracking report I’ve seen only shows inbound packages for the day from usps, dhl, and Amazon. My report was similar with a lot more detail. No wonder they can't get this right. Union DR said their IT dept is trying to decipher all of these reports to find the totals that usps came up with and they still aren't matching. This is the USPS Link
Maybe they are one and the same?
Very thought provoking. My report was similar with a lot more detail. No wonder they can't get this right. Union DR said their IT dept is trying to decipher all of these reports to find the totals that usps came up with and they still aren't matching.
Mine did, had the time and date and which zipcode you were in. It is ran by route number not zipcode. The PTR report was meaningless to me when I had my PM pull it up.
Does it show how all the pkgs were scanned and which location I received credit for through Rrecs (box, door, locker, ) ?
Mine did not.
The ppl who don’t do proper address format are the ones not showing up on look ahead properly. Good chance they are also the same ones you aren’t getting proper credit for. Went round and round for a cpl months with customers. They didn’t fix it till I started sending them back as IA.So what happens when the customers do something “funny” with the address.
I have one that writes their address as “townhouse123 Main St”
Or what if they have
“Main St Apt 12C” leaving out the building number
I don’t know…. How does the system know of the package was left in a “small parcel locker” or a large one. That info isn’t on our scanner. Thank goodness!! We have plenty of keys to hit with this RRECS CRAP already! This is the USPS Link
Maybe they are one and the same?
They aren’t the only ones. The ppl who don’t do proper address format are the ones not showing up on look ahead properly.
We can't verify anything.
Not sure which pkgs get credited on any given day. There is not a program available to supply the info to carriers that allows carriers to verify and keep track.. Even when you keep a count yourself, you won't know if the system is actually capturing and crediting like it should on any given day.
There also doesn't seem to be a way to alter or correct data IF the data (which isn't even avalable) were found to be inaccurate.
We are given a yearly total on the 4241-M as an average amount delivered. How that number came into being isn't supplied to us daily.....only yearly.
Ta....da.....here's your yearly average![]()
All our barcode scans are recorded on our scanner, package delivery, pickup, visible damage etc.(unscanned parcels will not show up because there is no bar code to scan)They aren’t the only ones.
On a daily basis I’ll have multiple packages for one address. All have the correct address clearly written on them. Look ahead will show different addresses for each of them.
When that happens make sure you scan each item separately. If the system is too stupid to read the addresses collectively then maybe it’s stupid enough to credit for multiple dismounts at the same address.
Send it back as insufficient address. That what I start doing. I think if the address is incorrect, it doesn't get credited to the route. The delivery point that is credited is the location point you done on mapping. So what happens when the customers do something “funny” with the address.
