I mean I guess I respect their complete lack of Shame and awareness. But really they shouldn't even be allowed in the convention much less a candidate 😂 on another note @Bill Mea or any of the other candidates running are you on here? Are you willing to sit down here on the forum and answer some real questions from real members?

So… what have you got against these folks? Maston was the only one of that list that was around when RRECS started. All those others were voted into their positions AFTER RRECS started.
FWIW…
Pitts - Nope. Can’t stand him.
Nicky- Nope. Was last resort last time…same thing now.
Mea- Nope. Just don’t like the guy.
that other guy (photo)- Hell no. Needs to be more seasoned as a Regular Carrier.

Well I've been told by those that have met baffa that she is an arrogant 🧙. But my main beef is I don't care when you were voted in. If you haven't been screaming from the roof tops about what was obvious then you are just as responsible. Most carriers were blindsided by this and these people had a chance to warn and educate them. They did nothing so either they are incompetent or they are cowards either way fire them all and ban them from ever running again. Can we bump them down to table two RCAs permanently while we're at it? Have any of them been on here, social media, YouTube, or regular media naming names and starting proverbial fires? I haven't seen any passion or anger about what happened from any of them. Have any even given out resources to really do anything about this. Our fellow brothers and sisters on here have given us far more tools then any of them have.

I would have been distributing pamphlets about the virtues of door delivery like I was starting a new religion. I would of put out others with name number and email address of anyone who could have done anything to stop this. I also would have been backing the bus over ole Ronnie exposing his every mistake and flaw along with anyone else who had a hand in this. Have any of them even started a petition to remove any and all union pensions from those that sold us out? How about tying their salaries to union membership numbers? Maybe then they would actually have a reason to do their job! We need fighters not party planners.

So basically its like what is shaping up to be similar to our Presidential choices. Nothing good to choose from, just vote for the one that the least worst.

I don’t think any National officers even look at a forum like this, and if they know about it, stay far far away!
Ooohhhhhh....they know about it, I assure you. I was explicitly warned about this site when I became regular by my union rep, and told a bunch of crap about this site. After a lot of reading, and making up my own mind, I decided, my union rep was full of "cow manure" (for oi veh!♡) and that this site was pretty helpful...and here I am.

Yes, they know about it. Board has a no social media policy for officers. If nrlca had created a useful interface website this site would not have survived. But, they didn't so it spreads misinformation like wildfire according to Ronnie.
Trust little on the internet is a good rule, in general. Always double check facts. Creating a vacuum of knowledge is not what anyone wanted.

Do you happen to know What the consequences are of breaking that policy?

Are you referring to Todd or Michael?
And most others were in trusted point positions to verify study routes during testing. They failed miserably. At this point I would prefer at least half new board. But, because everyone continues to vote the same we will no doubt get the same board. It makes me doubly sad that members continue to self sabotage thru election.

I think it in part stays the same because newer names aren't trying to run for these positions.

What rung in the hierarchy of authority does "board policy" rest?

According to Robert's Rules (authority vested via NRLCA Article 12)....

RONR 2.3-4.png

I understand that not all "board policy" is available to the general membership. Quite frankly, I'm not sure how much of it is simply imagined whenever a board member (or the entire board) gets in a pickle. 🤷‍♂️

You need ordained to get on the Board.

  1. The common argument against opponents is that the opponent is not experienced (while "experience" is funneled to the hand-picked).
  2. Board groupies will campaign for table scraps and keep that boot licked clean.
  3. Some delegates view it as a social offense to run against a seated member, and will vote against the challengers for spite, even if they don't want the one who is currently seated.
Majority factionalism is one of democracy's greatest weaknesses, especially when it is presented as though its participants sincerely exercise independent thought.

I figure we're 2 contracts from going belly up... 3 if we're lucky. If the delegates voting patterns continue, my money is on Pitts signing the final NRLCA contract after he's been elected president for a year or two following Maston's retirement.

Seems like a simple problem to solve to me. There is more of us let the revolution start here and now. Since delegates are already chosen this year let them know that if ANY sitting member is reelected they are persona non grata they will never again sip from union paid bottles. Then follow through on that promise encourage all new delegates candidates and groupies for next year start grooming them now.
