I’m friken done! This government run crooks!

I hope the NRLCA doesn’t negotiate another unenforceable position for wage theft violations.

While I'm one of the last they'd ever listen to, I hope they press an arbitrator to also give the Association's grievance administration bill for wage theft grievances to the USPS as part of the resolution.

Wage/time theft is the antithesis of whatever good faith agreement an employer and employee can have. While an employer who has no control over its employees can't reasonably sustain its mission, no employee that works for free can reasonably sustain the comparative livelihood expected from the wages agreed upon hire.

How many ways does wage theft affect the high-3 and TSP? 🤔

I know, right? Non-aux RCAs get eval. How is this even legal?
I don't think you understand how you are actually paid! It's not 40 hours of evaluation, it's 40 hours actual! If you actually work even 1 minute more than 40 hours in a week then it doesn't matter what the evaluation is, it goes away and you are paid for your actual time worked. So if you actually worked 40+ to 50 hours a week and were only getting paid the evaluation of the routes you worked then you, yes you let yourself get screwed. Anytime any RCA actually works more than 40 hours in a week the evaluation no longer matters, you're now paid hourly for that week.

I’m sorry, but if you carriers “See” all of this “Wage” theft, what do you DO about it? No union no matter how great or how bad can do anything unless YOU initiate a grievance. Do you have a first step discussion with your manager about missing pay? Even if a bad management team that tries to steal wages from you is never confronted, and the situation grieved, why would they change anything that they are doing? If you see so many wage problems and errors why wouldn’t you grieve it to stop it. If you never fight management face to face, toe to toe, and prove them wrong and require them to “Make you whole” financially, then I place 50% of the blame on YOU, not the union.

Rt2mailman....WELL SAID, BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY! I fight mine every time it happens. Your EXACTLY RIGHT too. If you wont STAND UP for yourself, you deserve what you get....GET A BACKBONE...
😡😡😡🤠

I will reply on behalf of the office I complained about: Every time, every instance, and from every employee that catches it. It's a battle of wits. Manglement just keeps doing it.

Local stew is on management side, and won't file grievance if you've already talked to management and been offered a "deal" to compensate the missing wages. "Put the extra time on the next paycheck, you'll get it".
DR says call regional, regional doesn't answer. Everyone, including me, is afraid of going further due to other potential shady going on... Even when the local stew was bypassed and grievances were filed at district. I'm saying nothing more here, probably, already doxxed myself 100 times.
This **** runs deeper than you know.
Are you aware of the term “failure to represent?”
The Labor Board (DOL) and the union both know the term, and it sends cold chills up whatever spine National has.
Contact National.

Stew is a disaster of a human being, and has a wife and kids at home, and a big loan on an expensive POV that he crashed into oncoming traffic twice this year. While working. I don't know him well but he could lose his job, his car and home. He disgusts me, but I can't bring myself to be the one to do it.
You can mention to this stew, who is doing you dirty, that you are aware of failure to represent .

Union doesn’t file , you do. If you have an agreement with management, get it in writing on the grievance form

That's true, but the key here is that the union doesn't want you to file , because when you win, they are forced to give you a cash payout. They will kick the stew in the shins and make sure your issues are addressed.

There are consequences for when the union sells you out to management, or doesn't fulfill their obligation to craft. National wants to know when you're being undercut/submarined by your own team. They also want to prevent unnecessary payouts.

Union can file to defend its own contract, but, contrary to the cotract, the Union's own newsletters, and the Employer's specific declaration that the union has the right to file, the NRLCA has trained itself to passively enforce the contract. 🤦‍♂️

The union first runs with...

While management agrees...

...and the contract reinforces...

Article 15.2 & 15.3 Step 1 (a) & (b).png

Yet, for unknown reasons, the union recoils at defending the contract, despite readily having access to notes and documents not instantly available to the general membership. 🤷‍♂️

When I was a CCA, I’d have grievance payouts in almost every single paycheck, including an extra check or two after I left just from grievance payouts… it was never much but still, I never once filed a grievance myself.. 🤷‍♂️
Indeed, the NALC is seemingly more aggressive than the NRLCA in defending the rights of their bargaining unit members.

Educated members likely feel more comfortable pursuing the violations their rep isn't privy to. No steward is going to catch everything, but the eyes of the Bargaining unit should aways strive to defend its contract. After all, it's "the best the union can do" in exchange for the minutes of your life and the beats of your heart.

Last pp, not paid for variations of first/second trips or time over 57:36
Is it the pay period what we got paid today which consists of Christmas OT period exclusively? Or the pay period before that ? In Christmas time there is no extra pay for 2nd trip as far as I know But they have to pay for EMA for all miles driven if one is using POV . If it is pay period before, you should not let it go if you have documented the trips in 4240 and scanner accordingly . Morning 2nd trip should be avoided . I don’t know how you can record that on scanner properly under RRECS

It was the pp before xmas ot. Union is already on it. I'm aware on the "first" trip issue. There isn't a way to record it on the scanner afaik. Just kept track of my time and put in additional comments.

Time for us to go one strike! Time to bring in Lawyers and sue! The post office has been screwing us for years! Putting things in our files that never happened, not paying us for work performed, not paying us for extra trips! The list goes on and on! I can give you a whole list of things I’ve have learned over the years! I have had enough! If we are going to fix the system we all need to stand up! Ditch our union and sue the system! Millions of dollars have been stolen from us!
Hell we couldn’t even get enough signatures to opt out of union! Bunch of chicken shts, how you gonna get these pansies to go on strike? Keep doing the same crap and keep getting crapped on.
