Our offices are larger, to start. Management finds time to map with each carrier if they prefer. I am the mapping resource, and if a carrier will agree to map with me I get paid time for my work. Carriers imitate the mapping usually, but when PM gets an email to remind them to map, they come to us. Routes are either mature or aux expanding, depending on route and office.

How do you force management to allow you to map?
Ask them for the signed document that shows that your route was mapped every month since April 2023. They will NOT want to show you these signed documents, because they have falsified EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Ask anyway or have your steward request information for them.
This will throw your office into a tailspin, and you will now be allowed to be mapped. If not file a grievance for management falsification of documents and possibly WAGE THEFT. Your manager will be afraid of being fired, as he should be.
You will now be allowed to map. It is your choice as when to do it, and you should choose to do it in the EOS time.

My office mapped in Feb 2023 and did not map again until last month. The AMS person is a clerk who calls in constantly. Our PM tried to schedule 3 routes a day to do mapping...on office time. I told my Steward I was 99% sure that was supposed to be on EOS time. I'm 14 minutes a day from being a J route. Went to our county Union meeting and related this to other attendees. They couldn't believe our whole office hadn't touched mapping in over a year. They said I'd probably be a J route if we'd been allowed access to mapping. Our edit books will disappear for MONTHS at a time. I should've filed a grievance after last MMS but didn't so thats on me. But I will file a grievance every month if I'm not given access to mapping from now on. It took me 2-1/2 hours last month to fix over 100 threshold errors. My PM "taught' me how to map the first time. 100% incorrect on anchoring boxes. I'm convinced that is what kept my coverage factor (56%) so shockingly low. I've learned SO MUCH from this forum and I can't thank y'all enough!! I'm working my way to a J route!! With a burning fire inside!! 
Glad you now realize some of your rights. File and call steward or ADR if you don't get support you deserve. If you have access, there are refresher courses on mapping, so you have current technical expertise. We have only done mapping once also Years ago but route evaluation say 07/13/2026?
