Evaluation Results

Does anybody else question why it takes so long for us to get our results? I have always wondered when exactly the USPS knows the results. And why can't they utilize LiteBlue to inform us when the results are in, instead of making us stress out for three weeks, and then also stress out the day that our postmaster informs us.

I predict most carriers (at least in my office) to lose either hours or days off. I hope I am safe from becoming a J route, but I am almost positive that I could lose 2 to 3 hours. I really miss those UPS parcels we used to get.

I did from day one !!!! This is an excerpt from The RRECS Guide ; " CWE is an automated calculation that is available daily. " "CWE" is current weekly evaluation. Available to who ? My management and I spent HOURS trying to access / acquire it. Also, since the proponents and loyalists assert that the MMS is only four to six percent of our evaluations, that would mean that SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE knows what our evaluations are less whatever percentage of the MMS. CWE is SUPPOSED to be data / info we can access just like our dismount door delivery points, park points, route coverage, EOR and RADAR reports, etc. I believe that , at the District level , "they" are WELL AWARE of everyone's CWE. And don't think for a second redlining isn't occurring. They've already modified the 4241M combining dismount time among the various types of dismounts among other "things". What "they" do is make it next to impossible to cross check or otherwise validate "their" numbers with our own numbers. Both parties were more than well aware of the faults, flaws, and shortcomings of this system , hence, the "dispute process" . Anyhow, you are correct in your thinkning. It SHOULD NOT take WEEKS to know / see the new evaluation.

Why???????

Fudging the numbers is why.

I have said the same thing after the 1st count. You literally have the formula, IT IS PLUG AND PLAY. It's !@##@ING JOKE and our union is perfectly fine with it.

I get the 1st time taking few weeks to make sure things are right and double check, but after the 1st count the results should be done in a reasonable time.

It just looks worse and worse that it still takes WEEKS. Gotta fudge the numbers somehow I guess. Don't even get me started on the dispute process. I rip that paper up when they bring it to me because it is such a !@$%ING JOKE

MAYBE the first time. But that still does not excuse the fact that the CWE was not and is not available to us on a daily basis. They can show you when you clocked in 3 times. They can show you when you entered 5 boxholders. They can show you when you did not enter RETURN2DU. They can show you when you had "too many" TRIP2DOOR. On and on and on...........................I am not buying it. They know what our evaluations are less the MMS data. Give this some thought ; with this "dispute process" , they GROUP identical "disputes" and argue them together. Now, WHY are there IDENTICAL disputes ? This isn't ONE mistake where a supervisor entered the wrong footage on ONE route in an office. This is widespread IDENTICAL inconsistencies . What are the odds that MY supervisor and YOUR supervisor are going to make the same error ?

100% agree. As I said 1st time I get taking longer to make sure things are right since this is the new system (make sure you don't million disputes and management put things in right) then it literally just plug and result from there.....

There are still so many flaws that they aren't addressing and it is ridiculous.

What hapen to implement and fix later???? Implement and never fix???? That's our new union motto. Implement and never fix.

The MMS ends on a Friday. Results should be available right after the deadline for mgmt to enter data from the MMS. They get 7 days, correct? We should have results 8 days after each MMS ends.

It's about timing. They want the new evaluations to begin on the 1st day of the new fiscal year. They are required to tell us one week before the pay change. So Results Sept 27 with a start date of Oct 4th. Next fall it will be either Results Oct 3rd start Oct 10th or if I have the fiscal year date wrong Sept 26th with the Oct 3rd start date. I didn't look to see which one is the official day for the next fiscal year. Knowing that.. the timing of the count is what could be changed around. Based on theory if they all did everything right we could run the count ending the friday before we know the results... however we can expect management to not always enter everything in the proper time... so pad it a little. But... did you notice that during the fall count... we always trade out 1 Monday set of results for the use of a Friday's numbers. We all know Monday and Friday are so comparable... (please note the sarcasm) The easy way to trade out to the slower day is let a holiday be part of the count. Then it was out of their control. That is why the count falls when it does and the numbers come out when they do. It's about planned timing.

The MMS is 12 working days. It’s less expensive for the PO to start on a Friday to make up for the Holiday closure than to pay an extra Supervisor to be present on a 3rd Saturday for the 12th day. The PO started it in August due to carriers wanting to get RRECS started ASAP.

Also, this doesn’t happen in the Spring MMS but the numbers & results are very similar.

Are you sure about that?????? Carriers wanted to get RRECS started ASAP. I bet 2/3 of those carriers didn't want that and if not at least 44% didn't.

Carriers running overburdened routes without the Overburdened pay were complaining about not having a mail count. Those areas that received Amazon pkgs after the 2018 Mail count was crying to be counted.
Until the MMSs & learning what is missing in this program, a lot of carriers were hopeful that this new count method would be all it’s being advertised as.

I am sure most of the carriers who don't like RRECS are those who don't know how to take advantage of RRECS.

I disagree with that. Some yes for sure but others like me, I keep getting more boxes and stops and yet I keep losing time. I do all the right stuff too.

In last 2 years depending on this result this time, I will be down either 9k or 11k if I lose 1 or 2 hours.

Live out in rural America and see that what happens to all of us is we are all losing.

those who have routes with boxholders nearly every day and great cell coverage do not, and will never, understand. :(

Yep I use to have boxholders twice a week then DeJoy decided to almost double those prices so those companies cut them. I don't have great service either as by getting on list multiple times for missing SPMs and etc.

RRECS has ruined delivering in rural America.

It’s complete garbage, I’ve said this before. When we have the old counts with pen to paper we knew the results the afternoon we were back from our route. This is what the 4 mms and its crap everytime. I don’t believe 1 thing that they say we get credit for because it’s just turned around and manipulated the next second

Yep. You dont know what you will get. Just dart at a board.

The 1st time I can get taking a little time but after that it is literally you plug and play the numbers. It should be even next week at latest after the count.

All -- Just a thought for the next national convention:

-- Invite X-President Dwyer and Dr Mericle to host a RRECS Q&A - like they did before it was implemented.

-- Apparently the only way to ensure carriers are getting paid for everything done during the work day is to ( gasp ) go hourly, like the other unions!

-- And maybe affiliate with the AFL-CIO, like the other unions, and get some help during contract negotiations.

-- As a disclaimer, long retired and never dealt with RRECS, although I did call it "WRECKS" way back when.
