My husband and I want to leave California. Many reasons but basically there just isn’t much here for our family anymore.

We are looking for a “Red” state that has minimal snow fall with a lower cost of living. You know, we want it all!

Anyway, I’m good at this job and I like the fact that I can transfer anywhere in the US and still make the same hourly. Here in California, I’d never be able to even dream of buying a house on these wages. Plus all the liberals have made it unbearable to be here and I’m pretty open minded so that’s saying a lot.

I need some leads on which states might be a good fit. We looked into Idaho and are still on the fence. Seems a lot of California natives are headed there so we’re thinking it might head liberal in the future.

Any leads or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Pasco, WA is in desperate need of RCAs, but WA is full of libtards too. It is a high-growth area, so potential to go regular within a few years. I started at #18 in seniority in January 2017, and was #5 when I quit late February. Would have been #4 now and a PTF if I'd stayed.

lots of rca postions open in iowa. but you have to deal with the winter..lol. we just hired one rca. will be looking for another shortly. if you could have gotten in before the last one..who hasnt started yet, we will see how that goes..you would have had a 6 hour/day aux route in less than two years. Point is..do some research on offices..you could get lucky..be an rca for a couple months..then the reg retires..its happening more than you think these days..the days of 6 years as an rca seem to be over for now.

Texas says hello. Although we are having problems with the libtards bringing their politics with them.....see Colorado. Just avoid the big cities, especially Austin. Austin is basically California.

Thanks for the info. The laws we’re running from are pretty similar, maybe worse in WA. Really need a red state.

That’s my dream!!! Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll look into Iowa

I’m liking Texas but my husband isn’t so on board with Texas. How is RCA to regular turnover there? At my current PO I’m looking at a minimum of 10 years!

That's funny. Texas is the 3 fastest growing state. 100,000 people a year moving into DFW alone. Seriously, can't keep the Californians out.

If you are into outdoorsy stuff, you might like southern Indiana or Kentucky.

Also, I find the term "libtard" extremely inappropriate. Surely you can express your political opinions like adults and not resort to hurling childish insults.

And a friendly reminder everyone: Be careful with your political opinions at work. Both because your coworkers don't necessarily want to hear them and also because of the Hatch Act.

most offices can't keep rca's for long. but the regulars aren't going anywhere, so its probably gonna be a while to get to regular. however, if you are table 2, rca's will probably make more than regular. In my year, I have not worked less than 40 hours a week. Most weeks are 50+. The week ending today was 54 hours.

Come to South MS, very nice houses in the $140,000.00 and great locations on the Coast and 30 t0 60 miles north of the coast, lots of night life and family communities, large PO's Small PO's Really GREAT Schools…………..check it out.....all religions welcome and neighborly folks in the rural areas....

I find the word "libtard" extremely offensive, linking retarded people with liberals is just wrong. There are many retarded people that are smarter and have better morals than many liberals. They also behave better, and rarely lie. Does "If you like your Dr., you can keep your Dr." ring a bell? A retarded person would never have said that, knowing it to be un-truthful.

Rt2: I generally find your posts to be informative and well thought out. But this is a bad take friend. If we wanted to enumerate every lie told by a politician, we'd be here all night! Off the top of my head

"I am not a crook"
"Read my lips, no new taxes"
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
"We found weapons of mass destruction"
"You can keep your doctor"
And my oh my has this current administration told some real whoppers!

No, instead I propose we try to avoid lobbing political stink bombs, agree that politicians are basically a-holes, and most importantly, avoid language and slang that belittles people with disabilities.

I'm pretty sure that the use of the word "libtard" in the same sentence as "I'm pretty open minded" breaks some basic law of common sense.

I’m not open minded where my morals and values are concerned. The liberals I meet don’t seem to understand that concept and think I should be open to change them. The difference between myself and them is that I’m not demanding they change theirs to suit my needs.

I’m gonna just apologize for offending any Liberal people that didn’t appreciate my “Libtard” comment. I didn’t need to use that term.

I’m very unhappy about having to move out of the only home I’ve ever known because of politics.

And I don’t talk about this stuff at work. Oh, and I’ve been called much worse then Libtard ?
