End of the RCA as we know it

Wilco183 et al -- ""Postal Worker Makes Over $72 K/yr. Enjoy High Pay with Federal Benefits. No Experience Needed. Min. Age 18 Yrs or Older. 1000+ Vacancies Available. Study Material Available. Starting Pay is $21/hr."

-- Any recent hirees considering a false advertizing suit?

I really feel for you. RCA pay is still pretty good money where I live. The vast majority of jobs around here get about $10 an hour. The higher cost of living areas really do make the RCA job a poor choice for many. Still, I'd rather deliver mail than wipe some old geezer's butt.

Study materials available? This job ad is for someone that doesn't touch the mail...management. Maybe the exclusive online Training and Test Proctor for the new and improved 49 question Supervisor Exam.

I ran into a UPS employee (resident) on the route the other day. We were talking Amazon, and the 2 tier pay system both places have to deal with. While lamenting the discord both have caused he sighed, "but we still get some kids that are just happy to make $21/hour".

When I told him I made $17, his jaw actually dropped, and eyes bulged. He hefted his Amazon box, "for doing this?" He was incredulous, standing there looking at me, my dusty, hot POV, etc. Just couldn't believe it.

Isn't the NRLCA supposed to find private industry comparisons to present during arbitration?

eunomios -- "Isn't the NRLCA supposed to find private industry comparisons to present during arbitration?"

-- Unfortunately the NRLCA is hard pressed to find a company in the private sector that potentially visits every household in the US every day.

-- Of course, the city side of the USPS does exactly that, but they are "off limits" for comparisons as the NRLCA has found out in the past.

Wanted managerial! $90,000 position available. Skills needed involve answering phone calls, making schedules, reading safety talks, riding in the backseat of a truck once a year (observe, not work, dont worry)
Sounds like my MIC, (moron in charge), except this person has not "mastered" those skills.
