FedEx Amazon loss contract

When is the timeline for their dismissal of contact? It seems extremely heavy for my route now, are they still delivering their packages or what? I would expect a large increase but heck it if gets worse if really like a count this September.

That's what I'm saying. Just imagine any extra packages as it is now. I wonder if they'll deliver more of their own. Same with UPS. I swear there was a day last week that UPS delivered a small package to a house right before me and I had one of their packages that I delivered too, and the package he delivered would have fit in the mailbox!

I can't seem to find any info on when the FedEx/Amazon contract ends but it was widely publicized the first week of June so it's likely over by now. I don't really believe it matters for us, though, as a couple of sources say that FedEx carried less than 2% of Amazon's business the last several years so I doubt the USPS sees any significant bump from that.

The carrier would no longer deliver FedEx Express shipments in the United States. The shipper downplayed the move, pointing out that Amazon packages represented less than 1.3% of FedEx's total revenue in 2018.​

I wonder if we are getting like 3% of our revenue for delivering something like 50% of packages for Amazon.

I get nothing from FED EX in Azon packaging. Anything identifiable from AZON is dropped by Brown here.

I don't believe Amazon has much, if anything, to do with SurePost.

We're still hauling them as well but I wonder for how long. There's a huge fulfillment center near here that's supposed to open yet this year so we may lose them. I don't know but one can always hope.

I am aware of FED going 7 days next year.. But I found this too in regards to what we are paying to FED. It's from 2017.

FedEx and the Post Office said Thursday they’ve tacked on four more years to FedEx’s contract to haul premium U.S. mail products by air.
The contract was extended to Sept. 29, 2024 and is worth about $1.5 billion a year to FedEx Express, the Memphis-based company’s air express unit.
FedEx has been providing express air transportation to the U.S. Postal Service since 2001. The current agreement was executed April 23, 2013 and was to run through 2020.

As I said before we don't get any drops from Amazon anymore. I can't believe I'm saying this but the job has almost become decent again except for the micromanaging of course.
The difference in my workload is like day and night. Of course if they decide to do a count in the near future I will be royally screwed.?

I don't know, for me 1 tub of smalls and 6 large...then azon pallets rolled in... additional 2.5 tubs of smalls and 18 more large, heavy bastids...might take a hit if prime goes bye bye for me

Well, if this contract is voted up then there aren't going to be any mail counts unless they choose to do a national count in Sept. My last count was with Amazon but that was after delivering them for two years for free. I wouldn't mind getting paid to deliver them for two years minus the actual parcels. Seems pretty fair to me.
