Every new sub has to learn this, some people learn before they are hired, and others like myself (learn the hard way, after losing ?).It has been explain in more than one thread. I found a good one by Sprocket ( titled-Assigned route+ 6 day work week) (July-2019) Pull it up and read for yourself .

I attempt to explain this to every newly hired RCA in my office! But they continue to run and it cost them big bucks if you totaled it for the year! I even went to the point of making up a spread sheet showing them the impact to their income over a year. I have seen instances of an RCA carrying a route for 6 days in the time of the evaluation for 5 days. You point out to them that they have just worked a day for free and they still don't get it!
