Are there any guidelines as to when the RCA’s schedules are to be posted? Here it is, Friday 10am and still no schedule for next week, AGAIN!!

I think guidelines is about as far as it goes. Think you'll find differences from week to week in many places and great variance from place to place. Have never been aware of any great concern by anybody that influences it about RCAs having the ability to plan ahead. When i cared about them (as a RCA) in my office they were trying to have available 3 weeks of scheduling, subject to change of course. This gave you a fair idea since all J and K days were accounted for along with most scheduled time off. If your only scheduled day was Monday and they decided Tuesday to schedule you for Thursday, it was on management to call you and let you know. So in theory it wasn't your fault you didn't show up because you didn't know. Usually by Friday morning you could at least be fairly certain if you were working Saturday, which is generally good enough for them. Pretty sure that if discipline is involved that you aren't responsible for knowing what is on schedule after you were last in office, but otherwise, so what if they don't tell you when they know. Been a short week, less time to do things, important or otherwise.
Like most things, it is only an issue when it becomes an issue. RCA issue? They tend to be non issues, why care about them? Are they important?

I had a contractor job, i could care less about no schedule. I had an assigned route with K day. Didn't answer phone, went in on my assigned day. That helped the schedule to the point that all these years later, it's made a month ahead in my office lol.

Thank you all. PM and Supervisor in our office are always quick to threaten writing you up if you don’t comply to everything they say to do. All of us subs are fairly new and do not know all the “rules” to cover ourselves. That schedule, was posted yesterday at 4pm. Who knows if they called the subs to tell them. Schedule changes are our responsibility even though they change it after our last day worked. I take pictures of the schedule, but that doesn’t stop the PM from threats. She added me to the schedule once after my last day worked, when I no-showed, from not knowing I was to work... she called me in and said that she should write me up but will give me a chance. ??

There used to be a requirement to post a weekly work schedule on Wednesdays in the HBK F-401 Supervisor Guide to Scheduling & Premium Pay and other manuals prior to 2000 when it was dropped. Most post offices still do it as a past practice and I do not know where to find a newer printed version of this.
