Sunday Amazon held over for Monday delivery

We scan all certs in dps as out for delivery to ensure credit...
It's the same as an AAU scan
We do the same & I've just started doing packages coming off Hold and Business Closed packages to be delivered.
AAU isn’t necessary. We haven’t AAU on Certs in years & we all get credited upon Delivery or L/N. I’m in a large office so it takes too long to scan all those when it isn’t needed. Parcels also don’t need scanning out from Hold or B/C. Total waste of time that we do not get credit for.

We grouped mailboxes within 5 ft. Does the gps coordinate read the same for the group of mailboxes that are within 5 ft of each other? Maybe we need to group doors for pkg delivery, break up a roof top into sections and put the address doors where they might be in the building per door group. IDK....maybe this isn't even a problem and I am visualizing the wrong scenarios happening.
There has to be something that tells the system to capture the data. It very well may be the geo fence, not barcodes.
We need more info on the how it works...
I figured, since I constantly need to tell rrecs what work I'm doing, it made sense i had to tell it what barcode to capture.

see fedex everyday I actually see fedex more the ups šŸ˜‚. I also see far more FedEx parcels in mailboxes 😔.
I had found packages I. Mailboxes I didn’t remember deliver. They had a FedEx surepost usps tracking number. It wasn’t until
The 3rd one I decided to look up the tracking on it. Sure enough. I didn’t remember because I didn’t deliver it. Fedex did and they took the delivery photo of it in the mailbox šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

It’s on my PM desk, wish I had thought to look up the first few I saw. But in the past we bring them back to be redelivered by FedEx and it stops happening

Wow. Not only is it crammed in there, but the SNOW! Yike. I just got back from some pond fishing.

I've always maintained just to pull it, and drop it. Others say they are afraid of being caught on some camera, but I still don't see the problem.

Do you figure the FedEx person (despite being lazy) did this because of issues with the snow/driveways?

No driveways isn’t long enough to drive down. The house is so close to the road it’s less than a 30ft walk to the front door

Some people (me) have NEVER had Sunday delivered. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
We now get Sunday Amazon drops. This last Sunday they brought 38 packages for the entire office.

Monday my route had 200+ of just Amazon packages and another 100 of usps packages.

the RCA isn’t even hitting the 2hr mark on Sundays. At least she’s still get paid for 2hrs.

Yeah, this has been the problem for a long while in my area--not complaining too much because of RRECS, but for at least the last year or so it's like nothing is delivered on Sundays, the RCAs work only 2-3 hours, and we're slammed with packages every Monday.

If parcels are being held over from Sunday delivery and overwhelming you on Monday, file a grievance asking for a ā€œFull relief dayā€. You didn’t volunteer for Sunday work, yet you are being ā€œForcedā€ to do it.
If you volunteer you will receive 150% pay, if forced to work Sunday you and management would have to settle on the amount you want and what they are willing to pay because that work is outside of our contract, but more than 150%, that’s the contractual volunteer amount. Yes you get the Rrecs credit for the Sunday parcels delivered on Monday, but if your route is 10-12 hours over a 48-k you will get no extra pay.

That grievance will go no where. Sunday packages delivered on Regular Delivery days are credited to the route. If a carrier is working over their weekly Eval then they can request help. Right now, we are paid for every minute over our weekly Eval so it is not ā€free workā€.

Depends. Was it actually sorted on Sunday and they couldn’t get it all done? Or was it held and sorted for today? If it’s the second one, there’s no additional compensation because the packages were not made available to the carriers on Sunday.

If it’s the first one, it’s 8127 time for the time it would take to deliver the extra packages, not two minutes a mile.

Anything that was committed for Sunday goes on Sunday. If they decide not to run it, and it was committed for Sunday, it’s 8127 time.
How would we find out which it was?
Thanks

The next day I brought back a whole tub full of FedEx packages. And FexEx finally showed up to retrieve them on Thursday. Not a single FedEx package in my mailboxes on Friday. Let’s hope they understand that I am not fooling around.
