-- EXACTLY when did you get DPS?
-- Did DPS meet its 98% quality threshold by COB on September 16th? May have to get your Assistant District Representative involve to find out as I doubt manglement will be forth coming ( honest ) about it.
-- Also taking 3M items to the case is a timed event - just one of the Column 17's "Suitable Allowances".
-- Search for "mail count guide" in RI's KNOWLEDGEBASE Section ( it's for 2020, but should be pretty much the same aside from the dates )
-- Maybe someone with more skill can put a link to the 2021 version.

And they don't get subtracted from daily dps number. Good luck. Stay strong.
Thanks everyone. It's sad when you have to fight for what is correct. Even had the union rep on speaker this morning explaining it and answering her questions. She's still not agreeing. So I'm keeping track of all of it. Writing it down and having her initial and date it. It's crazy .

Not just sad but very stressful. Totally uncalled for and dare I say barbaric. Respect and decency go along way
if they don't want to give credit for putting in the 3 m case, then don't. Put them in the throwback case the next morning when you put the rest of your throwback pieces in there. I bet they will want to give credit then!!
Our office (district) wouldn't allow credit for markups in the afternoon........ out of dps and other stuff picked up refused and so forth. Also no time for going to markup case in afternoon. They said only 1 trip per day. So we agreed if district wants it that way, then we will leave all mark ups in the case and handle them all in the afternoon. Do you know how many PM's have come since 2018 count and get pissed when we tell them sorry, we only go the throwback case in the afternoon. LMAO

ubbm gets counted too, and any rigid article over 5 inches gets counted as a parcel, daily event here now, those we take back for a arrival at unit scan... the certs we just get the signature and deliver
Think of it like this: if you were to take all dps directly to the street without casing, you would encounter pieces that cannot be delivered that day. Items like forwards, ubbm, missent, missequenced, missorted, vacation hold, Saturday hold, etc. Anything you would have brought back to the office for a second touch/handle needs a raw letter count.
Any tall items > 6 1 /8 inch tall is a flat and is added to flat count. May be deducted from dps.
If you are taking end of run for dps numbers, be sure it is the final run of the day. Sometimes they do multiple runs.
