I’m currently working 5/1 on my aux but due to a major life change (surprise pregnancy 😏) Im considering going to 6 days on the aux as it would be a more stable schedule. Can I do that? And how would I go about doing it?

-- Just give manglement a memo stating you wish to change from 5/1 to 6/0 on your AUX.

-- Or use the attachment ( white out the A-124.57 )

-- Good luck.

In addition to @btdtret info, there is this from The National Agreement ; Article 30.2.G.4a ;

a. An employee serving the auxiliary route and
serving on the assigned regular route as the pri-
mary leave replacement may subsequently elect
to serve the auxiliary route six days, if mutually
agreeable between the carrier and the installation
head. Upon this election, Article 30.2.G.1.b. will
apply.

You still are an RCA. In their world they can abuse you for a 6 day selection to work the 12 hrs.

Get a DOC note ASAP when they deem you are no longer able to work Extra hrs or serve the daily run on AUX.

There’s no light duty in the rural craft. They’d have to be out until ready to work with no restrictions.

This is interesting to me because two carriers at my former po got medical exemption from working Amazon Sundays (yet my safety concerns were dismissed.). I'm wondering, how does this fit with that?

It’s actually 7 days if Amazon Sunday office. Really wish union would have put a cap on days worked in a row.

The Union could simply try to change the contract to only allow 6 day Aux to work Sundays if they volunteer.
Well, that wouldn’t be fair to the Hold-down subs (Des 74) since they can be mandated as ”last resort” nor any other sub that’s having to work 6 days per week due to lack of subs. JS

Let’s be honest the contract gets broken destroyed daily. Putting something in there about max number of days would only help those of us being way over worked. Those that want the hours etc would have no issue with still getting them. don’t get me wrong I won’t ever let management give me a day off when primary is off. Even if that means working 3+ weeks no break but that is by choice.

You need to fill out one of these. For the life of me I can't find a clean one on this site or NRLCA. I have a hard copy I could send if it comes to that. This is what I did when I took my AUX while a K sub. I wanted 6-0 and turned this in.

***EDIT: Ooops. It is in post #2. I flew right by it.***
