I know. District just wants to curb OT. They’re even putting a cap on how many regulars can work their K days a day leaving routes down everyday. There is nothing contractual that prevents Rca's working everyday for months, except too much overtime pay. If an Rca is working more than the evaluation for the route they are assigned, management may give any hours over the evaluation of that week to another Rca.
We have never been allowed to work more than 5Anyone else’s District mandating that subs do not work more than six days straight? Already filed a class for my office, but I was curious if other Districts are throwing down the hammer.

It’s affecting 19 subs so I filed a class action. They literally are having subs sit at home and the regulars working just so they can give a sub a day off. Had a sit down with the supervisor today as well as PM so we shall see if they fix the schedule. Is this route on anybody's matrix? Matrix trumps 6 day rule. If so, tell them to sit at home, then grieve for pay. They wont do it again.
Then who's delivering??I know. District just wants to curb OT. They’re even putting a cap on how many regulars can work their K days a day leaving routes down everyday.
The RCAs that get to work that day, get to split two routes on top of carrying their own. Then who's delivering??
Grieve it. Only way they’ll learn. The stupidest part is, you don't even get OT for working too many days in a row. You get OT by working too much in a WEEK. I can't tell you how many times I've had an opportunity to work in the middle of the week, without risking OT, and then not scheduled because I had worked since the middle of last week. Totally different pay week. No OT involved. WTF sense does this make? You wanna be stingy with OT? Fine. Change it to 6 days in a week, stop screwing me out of my regular pay for no reason.
Who runs the Aux? I’d take the Aux and leave the rest to management to decide.Well I would love to know what they want to do in my situation.
6 routes (4 K routes 1 J and aux route) 1 RCA (ME and I'm the sub on the J route)
I can only work so many routes in a time frame and the district was all over RCA working 40 hours.
PICK YOUR POISION. Give me over 40 and 6 days or have at least 3 K routes working on a Saturday sometimes 4.

Matrix or not, a sub has the right to work before a Relief Day Regular. These 5,6, & 7 day rules are non-Contractual & are easy to grieve. Is this route on anybody's matrix? Matrix trumps 6 day rule. If so, tell them to sit at home, then grieve for pay. They wont do it again.
Not stupid at all--RCAs quit, regulars don't. It's extremely short sighted thinking to believe that working RCAs to death is somehow smart. Everyone deserves a day off.I came down on my office yesterday. I know the subs will hate me but it makes zero sense they scheduled an RCA off and the regular to work his K day....how stupid can management be?

Is there something wrong with him casing routes and taking a split?Should clarify. Another RCA (I consider a regular basically) runs that route, but that is the only route he runs.
While I understand this logic, it’s not stated contractually that an RCA must have a day off each week. In my office, if we want a day off, we have to request it.Not stupid at all--RCAs quit, regulars don't. It's extremely short sighted thinking to believe that working RCAs to death is somehow smart.
