A New ARC with some questions

FreelanceARC

New member
Hello! I got this job as a weekend/Holiday side job. I am a freelance photographer with that being my passion and main source of income. I enjoy being an ARC and helping out when I can and have time. My office seems to be falling apart though. People quitting left and right.

I am free to work the weekends but I am noticing they are starting to schedule me during the week. The schedule is posted the week before but I am being told I need approved request off forms to have my days off? Are the management allowed to change my schedule once it has been posted? I picked up a shift today to help and now I am being told I need to work the next few days as well (I was originally scheduled off so I made plans.)

I am basically feeling now i am on call and have to work every day i am told. Can anyone help or give me guidance as a new ARC?

Thank You

Nope. The employment conditions for an arc are you work Sunday and holiday and a Saturday if necessary for parcel delivery. You MAY volunteer during the week. They cannot schedule or demand you to be there outside of job description hours. You have 100% right to decline hours not part of employment contract.
