Amazon Bull@$*!

Maybe so management can go to church is why time changed idk but I do know our rcas would love to go to church before working all day.
I'd LLLLOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE to see any of my old mgmt walk into my Church....I'm pretty sure there would be one big BLAST of black, evil smelling smoke, and ashes billowing out the front door when they attempted to cross the threshold onto Holy ground.....❤❤❤🤠

Oh I do not rush. I've been at this job for a decade. It just keeps getting worse and now that I have some time this week, I'm going to spend a bit of it perusing what else is out there. In regards to my no-rush approach, it was tested yesterday. The manager who was on (there is a rotating group of them) started texting 2 hours after I left the office, (left at 1 pm). Seriously! She wanted to know how much people had left to go. 😂 One or two out of 12 responded and with delightful sarcasm. The manager girl emphasized we should all be back before 6 pm. Laughable!
That's when you text back.....I'll never be back, or "I'm sssoooo sorry I just ran off the road, drove through someones front living room while trying to read your text, and that you think someone is screaming from under your car....then turn your phone off, and have a nice day!!!🤣😂😆🤠 Don't forget to turn it on before you head in, and text ....JUST KIDDING!!

I have been actively looking for other employment, I feel captive.

I’m Table 1 regular, and I can’t/won’t leave without equal compensation. But I live in rural America, they don’t want pay a living wage anywhere. And expect you to have a Bachelor’s degree for every job and pay you less than $20/hr.

And I can’t pass an job assessment test to save my life 🤦‍♀️ I blame the PO for making me a miserable 💩
Don't be scared off by bachelor's...many throw that out there as a screen out for unqualified candidates. "some college" usually gets you past that in many cases. I've hired articulate, intelligent common sense people who were great employees for those jobs where "college degree required" was advertised. I know today it's tougher, but the point is, don't let it be the barrier if that's the only part and the rest of the requirements you're great with.

Are we ever going to be able to keep rca's with this nonsense? :censored:
I had one of the best rcas I’ve ever had, he had been with my route for twelve years and they started working him seven days a week with no days off. Now this guy was a veteran with ptsd and needed a day or two off a week just to wind down and keep a handle on things. But management didn’t care and they kept scheduling him seven days. So he quit, this is how they treat everyone. Six months after he quit I retired and still had no sub. Management treats their employees like slaves and doesn’t care and they wonder why they can’t keep good people.

He would have qualified for fmla. After 12 years of waiting to become career, along with all the changes, it sounds like his exit was way past due! Thankfully fmla is there for us at USPS because we would probably have half the workforce otherwise.

This is seriously a LIFE, AND DEATH situation.....something needs to be done. I've had MORONIC, AND SOCIOPATHIC mgmt carelessly toss me into multiple "MY LIFE IS AT RISK" situations...and until you are willing to put your foot down, and say no to those kinds of situations, they will just continue to use, and abuse you. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO YOU, "THE CARRIER", when are you going to take the fight to them, and give them some "RURAL TRAINING", which is my code words for, a SWIFT KICK IN THE HINDEND, until the dumb mgmt starts to get a clue...
Just call the union they will tell you to keep doing it document it and they will grieve it later after you are dead.

What is really striking is the way USPS so clearly and pathetically grovels to Amazon.

Its a total "anything you say" relationship. Eventually, no one will be left and Mondays are going to be horrific. Morely. :):)
I will say it more than just the board of governors and PMG are getting paid off just how many is the question.

THIS ^^^^.

Just keep making the job harder and harder to keep people.
No you will soon not even be getting any to even start word is out how the post office is a underpaid over worked place with meistreatment of employees. the question is will the mail stop because of a mass exodus for retirement or just one day everyone walks off. there used to be buyouts to get people to retire early soon there will be monthly pay offs to get people to stay.

Love it I am going to do that the next ime the PM text me and put the scanner inbetween two houses for five minutes so it sets out an alert for no movement. Our PM can not drive so not sure how he could get there to check it out, uber maybe. Think his GSA would pay that.

And Leftingutter is exactly RIGHT on this....union does not care about any of us. Period. Excellent comment!

I'd pay GOOD MONEY to watch that....that cracked me up my friend🤣😂😆🤠
I needed a good laugh...and BaaBammm
another nice comment...😀🤠

Somehow the term "malicious compliance" hadn't crossed my radar until today, in a sermon of all places.
("follows orders or rules precisely, even if they know the result will be negative or unintended")

I immediately thought of Sunday Amazon. (and disgustingly pagan) A perfect example would be to follow their delivery order manifest. It would take hours extra, burn fuel, cost USPS, etc. Then the ultimate folly would be the 12-15 leftover boxes than are never on the manifest making things worse.

The catch is that at the end of the day, worse for WHO?

Its lucky I'm not Catholic, I'd have to go to confession for thinking about Amazon in church. Maybe something even more medieval.

The usps hasn't exactly been known for putting employees in successful work environments. It's more a case of finding the random, weird, odd tasks and tossing a bunch of challenging conditions at you to keep you from successful work completion.
Something like: here's 600 deliveries. You get a broken vehicle that runs with a 130 degree cabin temperature, stalls out everytime you stop and a scanner that freezes up and stops working in the hot vehicle. Btw, you need the scanner to do everything...don't die and be back early.
Exactly, this happened to me 2 weeks ago, scanner went dark. It was in the 100s F. , thunderstorm. Told to take photos and meet with another RCA to scan my photos as delivered. Then last Sunday during Hurricane Debby we had to run and my LLV broke down repeatedly stalling, I was told come back and get a new one. It's normally 45 minutes one way to the station and then head back out. Had to drive 20 mph due to broke LLV took longer to get there, it was 3 pm and told to switch load and she added 10 more to my load, be back by 5. Lol it is ridiculous

I certainly hope you charged them for the deviations and extra load.

Similar situation. I'm trying to take a bullet and take a municipality job for half the wage. Just so I can try to get a trade certificate at the community College and work my way back up a ladder... I do have a bachelor's with two majors and no student debt. Still, can't find anything along those lines around here.
