Amazon Sunday

So with the holidays near, what is the correct scheduling for Amazon Sunday's. Is there to be a list posted for volunteers, does it go by seniority, and is it written for the answer given here thank you in advance

That list is for the entire Hub area offices.

So most of the year

It is ARC's, Volunteer RCA's, PTF's, then Non-Volunteer RCA's from a rotating Hub wide List Not just from your office

During the Hub collapse time (Christmas) The non-volunteer rotating list is inter-office.

It should be ARC, volunteer personnel, PTF then RCA on a rotating basis.

This is not for Christmas peak season, though. Every sub will likely be working (even hold-downs) & typically Regs will have the opportunity to work Sundays during the Christmas OT Period.

They did in our district last year.

Made for some easy money Sundays. Think I worked 2 Sundays.

Was a nice chunk of change. Paid for Christmas in my house lol.

This all is going to be most interesting/entertaining ! The hub is expected to break the weekend before Turkey Day (the 19th). Our local office has never dealt with Amazon on its own up till now. Apparently because our local office (5 rural routes - 3 'city') cannot accept a tractor trailer. -- No idea if this has been resolved. As the office normally partnered with during Christmas have a titanic parcel deluge -- a very high income Towne - (yes with an E at the end !) that PM has lobbied successfully to slough us off -- perfectly understandable. Neither Management nor Clerks in our local office have been trained in Amazon procedures nor software - as per standard PO protocol ! Our PM seems to imagine that the RCA's can simply divide (likely 300 to 400 rural more or less parcels betwixt two or three of us) and scribble out on paper a delivery manifest. A waste of time! The dynamic delivery Amazon software DOES work. Also -apparently- Amazon is somehow accounted for separately within the PO accounting bowels. We are required to scan in the parcels as we load (apparently to satisfy a cubicrat somewhere and to ensure we have all parcels for that loop) and scan in and out mileage of the vehicle (using the sometimes nonexistent bar-codes within the assigned vehicle !). The software conveniently number sorts and loop segregates the parcels in order of delivery and loops (apportioned roughly four to six hours on the road) as they are pulled off the pallets by the clerks. On the road the scanner mapping system will then direct the driver to an address - theoretically in the best most efficient order. Another feature is that it will show the parcel scan number for that specific address - assisting in not making a misdelivery. As with any machine system not 100% perfect. Some parcels may not scan in correctly or be added on a loop ad-hock -- this calls for a decision or action by the clerk and/or person on the street. All parcels are to be brought to the door - including Box holders or non registered rural addresses. As I mentioned in a previous post the Eve days fall on Sundays this year. Being short of RCA's methinks a PM will be running a loop or two !!

Our office doesn't have Sunday Amazon delivery, but RCAs were handed a notice on Saturday that we may be required to work Veteran's Day, Nov 19th, Dec 24, Dec 31 and Jan 7.

Management is planning on having all RCAs report to work and dividing parcels based on the route and then whoever gets done first can either help the others out or go home. Another fine plan thought up by USPS management

Last year our PM didn't allow Regs to work Sundays although the memo came out ahead of the first available Sunday. It was also the first season for Amazon to run their own parcels here so not sure if the parcel count with Priority pkgs included were up to previous year tallies. I worked Sundays the two years prior when we missed the first Sunday due to mgmt/union not notifying us. Those Sundays that I worked, I ran 2 routes, mine & a neighboring route. I wish we had the option all year long.
