Well, I feel like an idiot for just realizing today that Amazon Sunday is a large reason our routes lost time. Our office does not receive Amazon packages but the PM goes to the neighboring town's PO and picks them up on Sunday morning. The RCA's have been on rotation working the Sunday packages until this last Sunday when the top of the totem pole RCA declared that she WAS NOT working Easter Sunday because that's the only day of the year she graces the door of her local church. The PM, who seemly falls in line for said RCA, said that was fine. He still went to the neighboring PO and picked up the packages.
Yesterday was a heavy package day because of that according to another RCA in the office and from the looks of the time sheet at my case. And then it hit me. The PM didn't start Amazon Sunday's until after our last count. He told another carrier in the office that Amazon demands that those packages be delivered on Sunday, well except when the head RCA refuses to work it. Since the packages are not being delivered directly to our office, can they not just be sent over on Monday morning for Monday delivery? There is no way our routes are getting credit for Sunday packages and the PM knows this. He is deliberately setting our routes up to lose.
