the metris i usually use went to the shop. it needed tires. When i sent it to vmf, it had four matching tires, when it came back it had two good tires and two almost worn out tires. Vmf is 90 miles away, so tire changes are done at a local dealer. So I get to work today, and am told I need to drive 7 miles to the main office to get a metris to use for the day. First of all, management is supposed to bring the metris to me, but there was not enough people to get it to me today. So the loaner car from the dealership is in the parking lot, but the keys are not in the office. I call pm and am told i am not allowed to drive the loaner car because i had not signed for it at the dealership(?). So now i have to drive my own car to get the metris. Another thing i shouldnt have to do. We got slammed with political today, so im running over two hours late already. But I either have to wait, or go get the van myself. So I go get the van, but there is no van there. No one told the other carrier to use his pov today, and he is already gone on route. So I wait another 15 minutes until they can get him back to the office and I can drive the 7 miles back to rmpo and start loading. On the way, I notice the gas gauge is nearly on empty, and theres a low tire. So I fix those problems, get loaded up and deliver the route. Now done with the route, I have to drive the 7 miles back to get my car to go home. The only bright spot was i was on load time the entire time i went to get the van, and eod time while i returned the van. I also filed a green card and left the mileage for the pm. You just cant make this stuff up.
