ARC ?

My friend is contemplating accepting the ARC position, he knows that the position has limited hours according to the contract.

He wants to work as much as possible. If your office has ARC's does your mgt actually follow the contract and give limited hours for the ARC people.

We all know a warm body will suffice regardless of what the contract says.

Anyone ?

Sundays and holidays is really all they should count on, and probably package help in December going forward. Not a job for someone who wants a lot of hours.

I am pretty sure he did apply for the RCA position, not sure why he was not contacted for an RCA spot, he was a cca for a year plus, that should help him in any position. The ARC postion would at least get him in the door.

We have had 2 arcs convert to rca in the past 6 months...so that's true...but it is a pain to transfer (like anything at the PO.)

ARCs only work Sundays & Holidays. Mgmt MAY use them on a Route on Saturday ONLY as a last resort if they are Academy trained. ALL available RCAs must be working, then ARCs can be used if mgmt wants, then the RDWL.
During the Postal Peak Season, they may be utilized daily per MOU rules if one is agreed to.
