Are management Vultures?

Hmmm! Your immediate overlords are basically clueless --- merely attempting to hang on to perceived authority with an eighth grade or lower (dare I say tribal ?) mindset. They are buffeted by opaque clouds of stupidity emanating from lemmings (known as politicians) who cannot find their erogenous zones without the assistance of professionals. Is such to vulgar for the truth ??

I always thought more along the lines of Hawks, not because they're elegant or efficient, because that would be insulting to Hawks. But because they are so observant. But not a good form of observant either. It's that kind of observance that makes you feel uncomfortable and gives that weird tingle down your spine, much in the way that I would imagine a mouse or rabbit would feel when they see a hawk circling ominously above them. Where they try to take the most mundane things that they've observed and try to "fix" them when they weren't really broken in the first place.

-- While Vultures do seek out the weakest ( or dead ), vultures actually have to get air borne to fullfil their purpose. Granted the vultured do take advantage of thermals and other air currents to stay aloft, but it takes energy to get into the air. [ comparable to leaving the office or the building? ]
-- Maybe comparing manglement to "laughing" hyenas would be more apporpriate as both are land based, have a "pack" mentatlity, and like their air borne counterparts, seek out the weakest to prey/feed upon. ( and yes, I did recently see THE LION KING )

I always felt like a vulture when I was a sub. Circling overhead just waiting for one of my coworkers to retire or drop dead.
Management seems more like a parrot. Squawks a lot and repeats whatever the superiors say. ?
