Attacks on rural letter carriers the beginning of devastating restructuring of the US Postal Service

311. Flats and letters WSH. I see that was deleted from the Q and A. Is that still one of the
scans?
A. No, as per the Engineering Panel, the WSS Scans are for mail endorsed "WSS" only.

For some reason the Union went back for guidance from the panel and changed the original Q&A.
If anyone notices, the answers frequently contradict themselves.
And unless they had a private agreement with Ronnie( which his health wouldn't remember) this was not an agreed to function by our board.
The example of wss by the engineers involves wss. The preceding statement by engineers clearly indicates to include wsh.

Like I said, it's a mess and most union higher ups don't read or comprehend well. They want the cliff notes version and that generally misses the intent.

But the union also insisted WSH was being captured as late as early this year, but then after the MMS our office was informed it should have been counted in MMS and that union knew by then it wasn’t being included in automatic counts. Way too many tweaks and inconsistencies and misinformation to have gone live with this.
Yeah, but some of us provided detailed data to disprove the wsh was tracked. And labor charges help the union think more clearly 😉

Union did not agree. USPS simply changed it without asking. Ask Don or Bridget. The intention was a coverage would be under WSS as the software had character limits.
If that were true then why did they put out an updated Cheat Sheet last April 2022 without it listed? There’s been no grievance filed on it & many DRs were not even aware of that change. Union & PO just slipped it under the door as if we wouldn’t notice. That reads “agreed to” to me.

Perhaps start trusting them less and asking hard questions more. Call national if you want to hear from the horses _______ .

And did I not mention higher union folks seldom read the actual verbage of our agreements and codified library? They assume frequently, followed by the old adage promptly.

Since Nat’l is the one that altered the Cheat Sheet & posted it on the website, they were aware.
Mgmt has tried over & over to pull the “in mailbox” from UnScanParcel but that hasn’t slipped by the Union who still continues to fight it. This tells me that they agreed to the WSH removal.

Yep on page 67 in the comprehensive guide says...Each set of wss/wsh. Who changed it ? Where is the mou on this ? What I hear is that no one can change this. No one can agree or disagree it is what it is.

To be fair, it's impossible to explain our system to anyone. Most working under the system don't understand it. But, I'm not super critical of the USPS/nrlca agreed to it comment. They did by way of an arbitration initiation. But, all parts of the rrecs system were mutually agreed to prior to Implementing. The nrlca said so in many forums.
Its this simple....THE UNION, AND THE USPS MGMT AGREED TO SCREW US OVER. END OF DISCUSSION. If you dont agree, look around you, and tell me where I'm wrong....11% percent went up...I dont see it. Open to discuss it, but just my opinion...its a FREE COUNTRY..for now..

The union did not agree to drop wsh. Sometimes, it simply is oversight or negligence by union. Not intentional damage. But, any good law team would have caught that and more.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't classify our legal team as good or even competent.

Btw, most DR's are left in the dark by national. No one likes competition. However, some of us don't give a rats patootie about nationals embarrassment and document things as the they need to support case load. And some of us read like lawyers anymore. Tiny vocabulary changes are monumental at times. Intended or not.

I would hope anyone interested in learning rural conditions or representing them start reading for themselves. Do not ever rely upon the ammunition someone else is supposed to supply for a fight.
You will be sorely disappointed.

THE BEST PART OF THIS SITE -PROVIDING A WAY TO VERIFY INFORMATION AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN FORWARD GAINS.

This isn't personal about anyone on this site. Many here try very hard to assist each other. It's just a general, good policy to avoid pancaking or regret by doing as much research for yourself as possible.
You need to be a good politician to get higher up in union. Not necessarily a good representative. Or a competent one.
The only job requirement is you were hired as a rural carrier.

So you think that the Union “accidentally” changed the Cheat Sheet without realizing it before putting out that revised version? The difference is the deletion of “WSH” on the Saturation scans. I still have my copy of the Original Cheat Sheet at work that has WSS/WSH listed.

I’m talking about the actual #s that are supposedly being credited. They are not listed in any documentation. Not in RADAR & not on the EORs. No transparency on WSHs.
Yes, we know they aren't counted.

It appears to be a lazy interpretation by a staffer. That's all we can get out of national.
