Aux Route Selection

Hey all!

An auxy should be posted up in my office here soon (depends if they take enough from the non overburdened routes) and PM says he will only be offering 6-0 option-- from my understanding, I always thought it was up to the sub to select 5-1 or 6-0?

Thanks for any insight!

Aux can only choose 5/1 or 6/0 if the office is not a formula office. If already formula, the aux is only 6/0.
Interesting.....
our office just went formula (I’m assuming, as our new pm just made up a matrix for the rcas)
our aux carrier is still the sub for an h route...... she does her 6 one week, but 5/1 the other week.......

Formula has nothing to do with the Matrix. Non-Formula offices are supposed to have a Matrix for the subs, also. Formula has to do with the Relief Day of the Regular Carriers. If your aux sub is still a sub on an H route, then the H Route regular must be taking leave Every 2 weeks. H routes don’t get a Relief Day.
what you described sounds more like a non-Formula office with an aux on a 5/1. If the office truly changed to Formula, the Aux sub has 30 days to decide to change to 6/0 or relinquish the Aux route.
