Being mandated…

Hi all just wondering for an old friend that’s being mandated in on day off. Can a carrier be forced to work and a sub be put on an auxiliary route? This doesn’t seem right. Just wanted to get the facts as I’ve been gone for a while. Seems like they should cover the regulars day off and split an auxiliary. Is it grievable? Blessings

You never know with po mgmt....I'd be like, not answering my phone, and po mgmt can run the aux rt. and leave the sub covering the reg rt.....and continued enjoying my day off....FISHING....where I had no cell service....🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤠

If management is giving a directive it needs to be followed and grieved. It is annoying but it is their right to mismanage. If they're calling them in on their day off just ignore the call as they aren't on the clock. If they are being told in advanced while at work the day prior then they gotta grieve it.

Well said....and exactly right my friend. 🤠

There aren't a lot of details provided about the office, carriers and alternatives available. Put simply, as long they are following the contractual language regarding orders of consideration, relief day work lists, leave requests and seniority then yes.
