Big 2080 problems and false solutiions

I and two other carriers are in big time 2080 problems. I have never had this type of problem, so I start investigating. Seems like in the past, our PM had been mnually been putting in a 30 min lunch break if we took it or not. Also, he had been doing our mapping for us. This has all been reported to our Director of the NRLCA. Now, that they have decided that they don't want to pay overtime, management is requesting that we hand in enough leave slips in advance to cover this time and to get out of paying us any ov ertime. I did not sign off on the high option on the last mm count. Also, Amazon has pulled out from these routes.and we are delivering their crap again, which added to the problem. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

When they ask you to give them leave requests in advance, first off, you don't have to unless you signed something saying you wanted the high option. Asking for that option has an accompanied agreement to use enough leave to remain under 2080/2240. If you didn't sign that, it is your manager's responsibility to keep you under 2080/2240.
What I've done in this type of situation is ask for the impossible in leave requests. Ask for every Monday from now until October. Usually most offices won't be able to grant that leave request. If they deny any leave request they are the problem, not you. You tried to take leave and they denied it.

Also, on top of this good advice. Put your slips in for every holiday!! If you are J or H put in for the entire week to get the holiday days off and get your free Saturday. When they deny the leave make sure you save all the slips to show them at a later date.

Make copies or take photos of your slips. In case they ‘disappear.’ Ask management to signed that they’ve received the slips, then make the copies. Do not leave the slips without getting them signed received.

If you are a route with out the option of high or low, this should not apply to you.

For me, at one time, I was a 46K or higher. This had no option but to be a k route. If I had to work full evaluation every day, I would be over the 2080 hours. Nothing they can do about it other than pay overtime.

I did.not sign the high option. I have Monday.as my k day but.I have asked off after every freaking holiday! My PM has allowed me to take off.all.these days. They are dead set on giving us.no overtime pay. I have been a rural carrier for 25 years and have never had 2080 problems. Amazon is the true problem and it seems like management can't see the forest for.the trees. The only way to control this beast is.to go hourly. At least they will not.be able to freeze our.routes for a year and.open the Gates of Amazon Hades on us and then blame us for not staying under our evaluations. This job.has become an endless nightmare with no.waking up from.
