So customers have a gate. I use to get out and push button so they know I am there. New carrier does not. Are we required to push button if they have one

We are not required to dismount to call a customer to their gate. We are also not allowed to enter personal gated areas with a key or gate code.
Neighborhood & apartment gates are allowed.
If u can leave package at gate then I would ring like a doorbell. If it is to summon them to the gate or to open so u can drive to the front door then no.
