Emily outen -- "Just curious.. is there a time limit on how late an rca can be called in? Can someone share the actual contract portion pertaining to this? "
-- Nothing in the contract about when an RCA can be called in.
-- There is a non-citable Step 3 indicating RCA's are NOT ON CALL.
-- However, if your office uses the 9 am time as a cut off, go with it.
-- You should know ( by now ) all the post office phone numbers. Let an answering machine be your "call-screener". Don't pickup the phone - unless you want the work.
-- If the 9 am time as come and gone, go about your household chores of being out and about. Don't answer your cell phone. Cell phone and scanner text messages from manglement should be for emergencies only. ( being short of RCA's is not an emergency, although manglement probably considers it as one )
-- If manglement is aware that you live an hour away and still calls, things must be serious at the office, but should not be a concern of yours if after 9 am.
-- If manglement pulls the "availability" card, just mention it was they who implemented the 9 am cut off.
